Eligibility Criteria for WBSEDCL Office Executive Recruitment 2017

Age Eligibility criteria: applicant must be between 18-27 years as on 01 January 2017. However, some category of candidate will be entitled to upper age relaxation which is follows:-

  • SC/ST- 5 Years
  • OBC-A- 3 years
  • OBC-B- 3 years
  • PWD – 10 years

Educational Qualification Criteria: Candidate must have acquired one from the following list:-

  • A graduation degree with 50% marks (Aggregate) in any discipline or in HS level
  • BBA/BCA) with either minimum 50% marks in Graduation or 50% marks in HS
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Honours in Statistics or Honours in Computer Science With either minimum 50% marks in Graduation or 50% marks in HS
  • 50% in Bachelor’s Degree with at least one full paper on Computer Science/Computer Application/ Information Technology or 50% at HS level.
  • 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree with MCA or 50 % in HS.

Examination fees for WBSEDCL Office Executive Recruitment 2017

The candidates will have to pay the sum of Rs. 300/- as application charges. The SC/ST category are exempted from paying the examination fees. The amount can be paid by the candidate by depositing the money in any branch of United Bank of India through a triplicate CHALLAN. Other mediums such as Demand Draft/Money Order/Postal Order or any other mode of payment will not be accepted.

Exam Pattern for WBSEDCL Office Executive Recruitment 2017

Written Test: There will be a written test covering questions from topic cover the tests for General Awareness (15 marks)/ Reasoning (15 marks)/ Quantitative Aptitude (20 marks) /English Grammar and Comprehension/Data Analysis, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency (20 marks)/ Computer Awareness (10 marks).

  • Total marks – 100 marks
  • Duration – 120 minutes

Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will cover topics from MS Office (i.e.MS Word, MS Excel and Powerpoint).

  • Total marks – 20 marks
  • Duration – 30 minutes

Interview: students qualifying the above tests will be called for the final stage of the process i.e interview which will be held in Kolkata only.

Selection process for the Office Executive Post 2017

Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their performance in the Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and Interview. The candidates will have to attain a minimum percentage of score in all the tests. The percentage of marks will depend on the category that a candidate belongs to. To be declared qualified in the examination, candidate will have to obtain the following marks depending on their category:-
