APPSC Civil Assistant Surgeon 2017: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Hyderabad has issued the Recruitment notification for Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialists) In AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad. Total no of vacancies advertised is 129. APPSC Civil Assistant Surgeon 2017 – Vacancy Details
Organising body – Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission
Total no of Vacancies – 129
Age Limit – No person shall be eligible for direct recruitment if he/she is less than 18 years of age and if he/she is more than 42 years of age as on 01/07/2017.
Minimum Qualification – Candidate must have done Post graduation medical course in the relevant field.
Selection Process – Selection of candidates for appointment to the posts shall be based on the merit in the computer based examination
Application Fee – Applicant must pay Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) towards application processing fee and Rs 120/- (Rupees One Hundred and Twenty only) towards Examination Fee.

Applicants must possess the qualification in the concerned speciality as given below from
a University recognized by Medical Council of India.
Civil Assistant surgeon in Gynecology
- Post Graduation Medical Course in Degree / Diploma in Gynaecology MS (OBG), or DNB (OBG) / DGO
Civil Assistant surgeon in Anesthesia
- Post Graduation Medical Course in Degree / Diploma in Anaesthesia MD (Anae), or DNB (Anae) / DA
Civil Assistant surgeon in Pediatrics
- Post Graduation Medical Course in Degree / Diploma in Paediatrics MD (Paed), or DNB (Paed) / DCH
Civil Assistant Surgeon in General Medicine
- Post Graduation Medical Course in Degree / Diploma in General Medicine MD (GM), or DNB (GM)
Civil Assistant Surgeon in General Surgery
- Post Graduation Medical Course in Degree / Diploma in General Surgery MS (GS), or DNB (GS)
Civil Assistant Surgeon in Orthopedics

Reservation: Reservation to the Local candidates was applicable as provided in the Rules and as amended from time to time as in force on the date of notification. The candidates claiming reservation as Local candidates should obtain the required Study Certificate(s) (from IV Class to X Class or SSC) OR Residence Certificate in the proforma prescribed for those candidates who have not studied in any Educational Institutions as the case may be. The relevant certificates with authorized signature shall be produced as and when required.
Written Examination consists of three papers Paper I, II and Paper III details for same are given below.
The Examination will be held at Vijayawada and/or Guntur. However, the Commission reserves the right to allot the applicant to any centre or duly creating a new centre for administrative reasons of examination depending on the availability of the resources like centres/systems.
APPSC Civil Assistant Surgeon 2017 Selection Process
In case of the screening test is conducted as referred above, based on the Merit in the screening test, candidates will be picked up in the ratio of 50 per one notified post for the main examination in order of General Merit. In the case where no screening test is held, all the eligible applicants would be allowed to appear for the main examination.
Where the candidates get the equal number of marks in the screening test if two or more
candidates get the equal total number of marks, those candidates shall be bracketed. Candidates within the same bracket shall then be ranked 1, 2, 3 etc., according to age i.e., oldest being considered for admission. In case there is tie-in age, the person who possesses qualifying Degree at the earlier date would be considered.
