Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released a notification postponing a few examinations. Considering the current scenario of the spread of COVID 19, APPSC has decided to postpone the examination. The examinations that are postponed are Junior Assistants in Acharya N.G.Ranga University, Degree College Lecturer Examinations, and Group I Examinations. These examinations were earlier decided to be conducted in the month of March and April, 2020. The APPSC examinations are delayed until further orders.
APPSC Examination Postponed Notification
The official notification for the postponement of APPSC examination was released yesterday, that is on March 22, 2020. In this notification, APPSC has clearly mentioned that due to the widespread outbreak of COVID-19 exams are postponed. Prior to this, the examination that is postponed was scheduled on the following dates:
- Junior Assistant Acharya NG Ranga University CBT – March 30-31 2020, April 01, 2020
- Degree College Lecturer Examination – April 03-04 2020
- Group 1 exam – April 07-19 2020
To avoid any negative health impact on the attendees, APPSC has postponed examination until further notice.

Group 1 Exam: This examination is conducted for the recruitment of Deputy Officer, Assistant Commissioner, District Fire Officer, and various other posts. The total number of vacancies advertised is 169. APPSC has decided to postpone the main examination that was scheduled in April 2020. The examination is conducted as an offline examination.

Degree College Lecturer – Similarly, the main examination of degree college lecturer is also scheduled for March -April 2020. The examination is conducted as a computer-based test (CBT).
