Applying for BSSC Recruitment 2021
For the recruitments notified by the BSSC, candidates can apply online only. No handwritten or self-typed application forms will be accepted by the commission. Besides, there is an application fee involved which candidates must deposit during the online application process. The application fee can be paid through debit card, credit card and net banking. Applications with wrong information will be rejected and may not be issued admit card for the exam.
For online applications, candidates do not have to send the application form to the commission. The online form will be considered for submission. If the candidates fill more than one application form, then all the applications will be rejected by the commission. However if the Commission specifies for any recruitment that an offline application process is to be conducted, then candidates must send hard copies of the application form along with specified documents to the specified address.
Admit Card for BSSC Recruitment 2021
BSSC releases admit cards for candidates to appear in different recruitment examinations. BSSC recruitment admit cards are issued to those candidates who successfully complete the application process first. It is the proof of provisional eligibility of the candidates to appear in specific recruitment exams. Therefore, one must note that in the absence of the admit card, one may not be allowed to appear in the exam. BSSC specifies that a valid photo identity be also carried with the admit card. This is for the verification of the identity of the candidate. Candidates must print the admit card after downloading from the website and carry the same to the exam hall. It must be preserved till the results of corresponding recruitment event is released.
Selection Procedure at BSSC
The recruitment process for BSSC varies for all the posts depending on the job profile of the candidate. Selection for the vacancies is done usually through the written exam for the post followed by a personal interview or skill test or experience of the candidate in the particular field. All the recruitments are notified by the Commission on its official website. Below are the stages for the selection procedure that can be adopted by Bihar Staff Selection Commission for recruitment purpose.
Written Exam: The written exam may consist of one or more than one paper. Candidates are tested for their language command, general knowledge, reasoning ability and their numerical skills. The exam can consist of objective type questions of equal marks. Candidates for the job will also be tested for their knowledge in a particular subject in the written exam.
Personal Interview: The candidates qualifying the written exam can be called for a personal interview. Conducting of the personal interview depends on the number of vacancies, type of job profile and the score of the applications. It is a face- to face questioning round where the candidates will be judged at many levels by the interviewer.
Skill Test: The job profile where the skills of the candidates matter more than the marks scored by the candidates in any educational qualification, in such recruitments the vacancies are filled by the Commission through skill test. An example of a post for the skill test could be Driver recruitment.
Experience: The experience of the candidates also counts as a major preferential factor for the job profiles where the candidates must know the job already. The final merit list will be prepared only based on candidate’s performance in the written exam and the personal experience of the candidates in a particular field for the job profile.
Marks in Educational Qualification: In case when the written exams are not conducted for the recruitment, the marks scored by the candidates in the educational qualification and then the cut-off marks will be decided by the commission on the basis of which the candidates will be called for the next level decided.
Answer Key for BSSC Recruitment 2021
Upon the conclusion of a recruitment exam, BSSC releases the answer key for the question papers that consist of objective type questions. However, if the exam is descriptive, then the answer keys are conventionally not released. Candidates can download the answer keys from the official website of the Commission. As the provisional answer keys are released first, candidates are allowed the opportunity to raise objections against the answer keys. However, they must do so as per the guidelines prescribed by the Commission. A fee of a specified amount must be deposited to raise objection per question. BSSC generally refunds the amount to candidates whose objections are found to be valid. To ensure validity, candidates must always raise objections along with evidence from supporting textbooks. Candidates must note that once the objection window closes, no more objections can be raised and authorities initiate the process of evaluating objections and preparing the final answer keys. The results of BSSC recruitment is based on the final answer keys.
Result of BSSC Recruitment 2021
Results are released in the form of shortlist of candidates selected for BSSC recruitment. The result is based on the final answer keys and those who secure a specified minimum qualifying marks are shortlisted. It is therefore released in the form of a merit list of qualifying candidates. One must ensure that they preserve login credentials generated during the application process to check result. These must be used to login to the website to check the result.

Bihar Staff Selection Commission also known as BSSC is an organisation governed by the state government of Bihar.
