Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released notification for eligible candidates for the Recruitment of CGPSC Civil Judge (Entry Level). CGPSC Civil Judge (Entry Level) Exam will be held in two stage i.e Prelims Exam and Main Exam. For First Stage, Interested & eligible candidates can apply for Prelims Exam. Candidates who have successfully qualified the Prelims Exam can appear in the main exam. Currently, notification for CGPSC Civil Judge (Entry Level) Main Exam 2016-17 has been announced for qualified candidates of Prelims exam. CGPSC Civil Judge (Entry Level) Exam 2016-17 – 40

  • UR  Candidates: 17 Posts.
  • OBC Candidates:  05 Posts.

Age Limit – Between 21 years to 35 years

Educational Qualification – Graduate Degree in Law

Selection Process – Selection of the candidates will be based on marks obtained in the Main examination and Personal Interview.

  • SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layers) – Rs. 300/-

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduate Degree in Law from the recognized board/institutions.

Age Limit – Candidates should have completed the 21 years but not more than 35 years

Exam Pattern

The Examination shall be conducted by the CGPSC in three parts for the aforesaid post. In the first part Preliminary Examination shall be conducted to restrict the number of candidates to the reasonable limit for the Main Examination.

Preliminary Examination

  • No. of Question – 100
  • Duration – 2 hour
  • Marks – 100 marks
  • Nature of Questions – Objective types

Main Examination

  • Duration – 3 hour
  • Marks – 100 marks
  • Nature of Questions – Objective types

The relatively more meritorious candidates fro among those who appeared in the Online Preliminary Examination in the ratio of 1:10 having regard to the number of vacancies shall be declared qualified for appearing in the Main Examination.

The candidates obtaining equal marks as obtained by the last qualified candidates shall also be declared as qualified, though, in consequence the number of candidates declared as qualified of 10 times the number of Notified Vacancies. The same procedure will be adopted for Viva voce in the Main Examination while declaring the candidates qualified on the basis of merit possible three times against the number of vacancies.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of following rounds:-

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Interview

There shall be a screening test in the Online Preliminary Examination to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination. The marks sheet for Online Preliminary Examination will not be issued, nor the marks obtained in that Examination will be added while preparing merit list of the Main Examination.

The Final selection will be on merit on the basis of total marks obtained in the Written (Main) Examination and Viva voce. The decision of the CGPSC with regard to calling the candidates for Viva-voce will be final. The maximum 15 marks are fixed for viva voce.

Note- The candidates remaining absent in the Viva voce shall be disqualified for the selection.
