Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process

Agniveer selection has four stages, in this order:

1. Online CEE

The category-specific computer-based test. Candidates who clear it are shortlisted for the rally.

2. Recruitment Rally — Physical tests

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT): a 1.6 km run, pull-ups (beam), a 9-foot ditch jump and a zig-zag balance — graded into groups that carry marks.
• Physical Measurement Test (PMT): height, chest and weight against the standards for the region and category.

3. Medical Examination

A detailed medical examination as per Army medical standards.

4. Merit List & Enrolment

A final merit list is drawn from the CEE and physical performance (subject to medical fitness), and selected candidates are enrolled as Agniveers for a four-year term under the Agnipath Scheme.
