IAF Airmen Result 2022 – Indian Air Force releases the results for the Phase 1 & 2 exams for the recruitment of Group X and Group Y Airmen on the official website of CASB, airmenselection.cdac.in. Earlier, the result for the IAF Airmen for STAR 01/2021 and Enrolment List for 02/2021 intake has been delayed due to administrative reasons. The IAF Airmen result is declared in the form of merit lists after each phase of exams. Aspirants can also download their scorecards by signing in using their Email ID and password. Candidates who meet the cut-off requirements for IAF Airmen result 2022 will be called for Phase 2 testing where they have to go through a Physical Fitness Test, two adaptability tests, and a medical exam. IAF Airmen Result 2022- Latest Updates
Postponement of Publication of Enrolment List in respect of Intake 02/2021 and delay of declaration of result for STAR 01/2021.
How to Check IAF Airmen Result 2022?
Candidates can check the IAF Airmen Result 2022 from the official website of the Airmen Selection Board. The CASB publishes a merit list after each phase. Additionally, candidates can check their scorecards by logging in using their Email ID and password.
1st step – Go to the airmenselection.cdac.in. CASB portal will open.
2nd step – Locate the link announcing the Result for IAF Airmen Recruitment and click on it.
3rd step – Check the list and locate your name and information and download it for future reference.
4th step – (applicable for phase 1 result only) – To check the score, you have to click on sign in. Once you reach login, you have to enter your email ID, password in order to log in and check the scorecard.
5th step – Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen. Check and download the same.
Forgot Password
Candidates can use the forgot password link on the sign-in page to reset their password if they have forgotten it. All you need to do is click it, and enter details asked on-page. Then submit them.
IAF Airmen Result 2022 Phase 1
All candidates who apply for the Selection Test for Airmen Recruitment (STAR) are invited to Phase I. To understand the significance of the phase 1 result, you must first understand what this exam is like.
The Phase 1 exam is an Online Selection test of multiple choice-based formats. Candidates appear for the exam based on the groups they have applied for. There are four parts in the Phase 1 exam, which are:
- English
- Maths
- Physics
- Reasoning and General Awareness
Candidates have to qualify for each paper separately in their respective groups. The subject-wise passing marks for Phase I are given below:

The result of Phase 1 is announced on the official website within one month from the date of the Phase 1 exam. It is released along with the Cut off marks for the exam and the Provisional Select List with the names of the shortlisted candidates for Phase 2 based on their Phase 1 Online Selection Test.

IAF Airmen Result 2022 Phase 2
The IAF Airmen Phase 2 exam is conducted after the results of the first phase have been announced. Only the candidates who clear the first phase are issued admit cards for the second stage. The Phase 2 exam consists of:
- Document Verification
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- Adaptability Test I (For both Group X and Y)
- Adaptability Test II (For both Group X and Y)
Candidates who clear all the stages of the Phase 2 exam and qualify in Adaptability Test II are called for the Phase 3 Medical Examination at an ASC (Airmen Selection Center). The Phase 2 results denote the candidate’s clear all of the above-mentioned tests and are declared soon after the last date of the Phase 2 exam.
Documents and Items required for Phase 2 of IAF Airmen 2022:
- Color print out of Phase II Admit Card
- Color print out of Application form downloaded on completion of online registration
- Eight copies of unattested passport size color photograph (used during online registration)
- Original and four self-attested photocopies of Matriculation Marks Sheet (only applicable for three years Diploma Course holders when English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
- Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent Examination Passing Certificate and Marksheet OR Original and four self-attested photocopies of Three years Diploma Course Passing Certificate and Marksheets of all semesters.
- Certificate for SOAFP (Son of Air Force Personnel), certificate for sons of serving/retired/deceased Air Force civilian employees paid out of defense estimates are to be downloaded as the case may be, from the download section of CASB web portal and brought along while reporting for phase –II of the Selection Test. Wards of retired Air force personnel to produce the original discharge book of their parents.
- Original phase-I Admit card used during phase-I online test, bearing Air force seal and invigilator’s signature.
- For Candidates discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Any other Government Organization. Original and four Self-attested photocopies of Discharge Certificate (as issued from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Government Organization).
- NOC in original and 4 self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organization (if applicable).
- Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate (if applicable).
- HB pencil, Blue or Black ball point pen, eraser, sharpener, glue stick and stapler.
IAF Airmen Result 2022 Score Card
Candidates can access their scorecards after checking their names on the merit lists of the exams. They can do so by logging in to the official website of the CASB using their Email ID and Password. They can check their scorecard and the given cut off marks and download and save the scorecard for future reference.
The IAF Airmen Result 2022 Score Card has the following information:
- Candidate’s Name
- Group of the Candidate
- Subject-wise Marks
- Marks Obtained
- Total Marks
- Cut off Marks
- Status of the Candidate i.e. acknowledgement of whether the Candidate is shortlisted for Phase 2 or not.

Note: Unlike the IAF Airmen Merit List, candidates are required to enter the registered email ID and password to download the IAF Airmen Scorecard 2022.
IAF Airmen Result 2022 Provisional Select List (PSL)
The Provisional Select List is prepared after the Phase 1 Online Selection Test is conducted. It is released on the website of the CASB and also displayed at all the Airmen Selection Centers.
The Provisional Select List contains the following information:
- Cut off Marks
- Instructions for Candidates
- Merit Position of each candidate
- ASC Code
- Candidates’ Names
- Candidates’ Roll Numbers
- Candidates’ Dates of Birth
- Medical Disposal
- Remarks
The inclusion of names of Candidates in the PSL depends upon the performance of the candidate in the Phase 1 exam considered against the cut off decided by the board and the number of vacancies. Candidates should note that candidates present in the PSL are considered eligible for the succeeding phase of the exam but not final recruitment. Candidates will get selected subject to medical fitness, merit, and satisfying age limit.

IAF Airmen Result 2022 Enrolment List
The IAF Enrolment List is the final list of candidates called for enrollment for that recruitment cycle. The Enrolment List is released on the official website of the CASB.
The Enrolment List consists of the following information:
- Instructions for Candidates
- ASC Code
- Candidates’ Roll Numbers
- Candidates’ Names
- Candidates’ Dates of Birth
- Reporting Date
- Remarks
Only those candidates whose names are present in the final Enrolment List will be considered for recruitment and issued E-Call letters which will be sent only to the candidate’s registered email ID.

IAF Airmen Cut Offs 2022
The cut off marks for the IAF Airmen Exam are released along with the IAF Airmen Exam Result. It is mentioned in the Provisional Select List as well as on the individual score cards of the candidates so that they may crosscheck their scores with the Cut off. Since the cut off is different for each exam, only an estimate can be suggested until the Official cut off is released.

What after the declaration of IAF Airmen Result 2022?
The IAF Airmen Result is declared on the official website of the CASB. Candidates can also check their names on the merit lists to know the status of their candidature. Candidates successfully clearing the Phase 1 exam are shortlisted for the Phase 2 tests. Only such candidates are issued Admit cards for Phase 2. In Phase 2, candidates have to go through Physical and Psychological tests and a final medical examination in Phase 3. It is after all the processes of Phase 2 are clear that the Enrolment List is released.
Selection Procedure on the basis of IAF Airmen Result 2022
The IAF conducts the Airmen recruitment process in a total of three Phases. The Phases and their parts are classified separately for Group X and Y Trades. The phases and their constituent parts are given below:
Phase 1
Online Exam: The Online exams are conducted as per the groups opted by the candidates for recruitment.
Phase 2
- Physical Fitness Test: Candidates are called at ASCs on a stipulated date for the physical test.
- Adaptability Test I (For both Groups): All candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test have to undertake an Adaptability test which is an objective-type written test conducted to assess the suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.
- Adaptability Test II (For both Groups): All candidates who pass Adaptability Test I have to go through the second Adaptability Test which is to assess the ability of a candidate to adapt to the military environment of the Indian Air Force.
Phase 3
- Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify Adaptability Test II are called for a Medical exam at a particular ASC. The Medical Examination will include the basic inspection of the following:
- Blood Haemogram
- Urine RE/ME
- Biochemistry
- X-Ray chest
- ECG
- Tests for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Abuse
- Any other test considered necessary by the Medical Officer
Candidates clearing all the phases are considered for recruitment. After the phases of testing, a final Enrolment List is published by the CASB.
About IAF Airmen Recruitment
The IAF Airmen Recruitment scheme is used by the Indian Air Force to recruit suitably qualified technical personnel. Every year, the IAF issues two advertisements for the recruitment of Airmen in Group X and Group Y positions. First, a two-phase selection process is carried out. Those who pass the Phase 1 exams are invited to participate in the Phase 2 selection tests, which include physical rounds and the Adaptability Tests 1 and 2. The IAF publishes the provisional merit list and the final enrolment list for those who pass the selection stages.
