Indian Army TES 2023 Notification
Applications are invited from unmarried male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (hereinafter referred to as PCM) subjects and appeared in JEE (Mains) 2023 examination and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army. 1st step: Candidates wishing to apply can either click on the direct link given here or visit the official website of Indian Army.
2nd step: After landing on the main page of the website, click on the “Officers Apply Online” tab given in red.
3rd step: As soon as candidates click on the tab, a new window gets generated containing the new registration link. There click on the register button for doing the registration.
4th step: Soon after the click an instruction page gets open. Read all the instructions thoroughly and carefully and proceed further to fill the registration form.
5th step: After that fill the registration form and fill the relevant details as asked in the form. After doing that submit the form and enter the OTP sent on the registered email id to proceed further.
6th step: Once the candidates submit the OTP an auto filled application form gets generated with some fields still blank. Fill the whole application form and generate your password and finally submit it to end up the application process.
The candidates should note that the only mode of accessing the application form is online apart from that no other mode is available t download the same. Indian Army will not charge anything to fill the form.
Indian Army TES 50 Eligibility Criteria 2023
Nationality – A candidate must be an unmarried male and must either be :
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of July 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Govt of India.
Note: Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Age limit – Between 16½ years to 19½ years (the candidate should not be born before 02 Jan 2007 and not after 01 Jan 2007 (both days inclusive)).
Educational qualification –
Candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized education boards are eligible to apply.
Candidates must have appeared in Joint Entrance Exam (Main) 2023.

Indian Army TES 50 Vacancies
The final merit list is prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained in the SSB interview round. The list so prepared is not backed by the higher educational qualifications, previous performances, NCC background, etc. The mere calling in the SSB round does not guarantee any final selection. It is the marks that are obtained in the round.
The army calls the candidates for the training purpose on the basis of the vacancies available for that year. The total number of vacancies announced by the Indian Army this time is 90.
Indian Army TES Training
Total training will be of 5 years. Details of the same are given below:
TES Basic Military Training
1 year (Officer Training Academy, Gaya) or any other Training Institute decided by the Indian Army.
Technical Training
- Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad)
- Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad
10+2 TES Award of Degree
The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of the final examination. No ante date seniority will be admissible to candidates on
account of this Engineering degree. During the last two semesters, the officers will be permitted only one relegation on academic grounds. This relegation will be within the maximum two relegations permitted on academic grounds in the entire Engineering degree (8 semesters) in accordance with JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation of the officer on academic grounds will lead to termination of his commission.
Note: Candidates must understand that in case of final selection, their appointment will be provisional subject to satisfactory verification of antecedents by concerned civil / police / education authorities, as applicable.
Cost of Training
Total cost is ₹13,940/- (as on 2021) and as notified from time to time per week (for the period of candidate’s stay at the Officers Training Academy, Gaya / Cadet Training Wing.) The cost of training is borne by State; will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons.
Indian Army TES 50 Admit Card / Call Letter 2023
At first, Indian Army releases the list for the candidates shortlisted for the SSB round. All candidates who are shortlisted for SSB are able to download call letters online. From time to time candidates can check the website to know the availability of SSB Call Letter / SSB Admit Card. Aspirants can download Indian Army TES 50 Jul admit card at joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Note – Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres on candidate’s registered e-mail ID and SMS only.
Indian Army TES 2023 Selection Procedure
The army follows the following selection procedure in order to finally select a candidate for the entry:
- Shortlisting of candidates on the basis of the eligibility criteria
- Call for the SSB interview round
- Documents verification and medical examination if needed
- Eligible for the Stage 2 selection
- Final selection of the candidates in the army for 5 years
Army Headquarters shortlists candidates on the basis of cutoff % applied as decided. After shortlisting of candidates, the Centre allotment is intimated to the candidate through their email. After allotment of Selection Centre, aspirants have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates on a first come first serve basis, through the link forwarded via email.
Only shortlisted and eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage undergo SSB at Selection Centres,
- Allahabad (UP)
- Bhopal (MP)
- Bangalore (Karnataka)
- Kapurthala (PB) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer.
Candidates are put through the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I are invited to go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I are returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interviews is for five days and details of the same are available at the official website of Directorate General of Recruiting, joinindianarmy.nic.in. This stage is followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.
Indian Army TES 50 SSB Interview Dates 2023
Indian Army decides dates for SSB Interview. Usually, candidates get information on this through call letter. Shortlisted candidates will be detailed to undergo SSB interview after the end of application form onwards. Prior to that, the Indian Army publishes center allotment list. Then the centers will release TES 50 SSB Interview Dates. Duration of SSB interviews is five days and details of the same are available on the official website.
Documents Needed to Bring During TES 50 SSB Interview 2023
According to the official notification, candidates need to bring photocopies of the following documents when called for the SSB interview. Candidates can go through the list of the prescribed documents just in case not to forget any important documents needed at that time:
- One printout of the self attested application form.
- Class 10th certificate / mark sheet in original showing DOB.
- Class 12th certificate / mark sheet in original.
- ID proof in original.
- 20 copies of self attested PP size photograph will also be carried along with the Application Form.
Note: Two self-attested photocopies of the certificates mentioned should be submitted at the time of SSB interview and originals will be returned after verification at the SSB itself.

Promotion Criteria & Salary of Indian Army TES
The promotion criteria of the candidates are as follows
- Lieutenant: At the time of the commission.
- Captain: Cadets will be given the post of Captain at the end of successful completion of 02 years.
- Major: Major post at the successful completion of 06 years.
- Lt. Colonel: At the successful completion of 13 years.
- Colonel (TS): After successful completion of 26 years of service cadets will be promoted at the post of Colonel (TS).
After this, the promotion of the candidates will be decided by the Indian Army on its own eligibility norms.

Pay Scale and Salary Structure of Indian Army TES 50 2023
Candidates who are finally selected for the admission are paid the military service pay (MSP). MSP to the officers from the rank of Lt to Brig Rs. 15,500/-
p.m fixed. The gentlemen cadets will be given a stipend of Rs. 56,100/-p.m.* as is admissible to NDA cadets on completion of 3 years training.

The list is also released on the Directorate General of Recruiting website joinindianarmy.nic.in. The list contains the names and roll numbers of the qualified candidates who are finally selected. Mere call for the SSB round does not imply the final selection of the candidates. Instead, the marks obtained in the SSB interview round serve as the basis for the preparation of the final merit list. No higher education, previous performances, NCC background, etc. have the role to play for the finalization of Merit List.
