JKPSC KAS 2021 Prelims Syllabus
The prelims part consists of two papers. Paper 1 will be on General Science and Paper 2 will be conducted from any of the optional subjects.

JKPSC KAS 2021 Mains Syllabus
The mains paper consists of 8 papers. Paper I will be of General English, Paper-II will be of Essay, Paper III & IV will be of General Studies, while Paper V, VI and VII will be of any two subjects that were selected by the candidate.

JKPSC KAS 2021 Exam Pattern
The exam will conduct intro three phases i.e . Preliminary exam, Mains exam, personal interview.
Phase I – preliminary exam.
This exam consists of objective type questions. There are two papers in this exam i.e. Paper I will be of General Studies and Paper-II will be of Optional subject. It is mandatory for the candidate to appear in both of these papers. If he/she does not appear in both of the examinations the candidate will be disqualified.
- Total marks – 450 marks .
- This exam is qualifying in nature so the marks of the preliminary exam will not be added in the final results.
- Language – English Language.
- Time Duration – 2 hours (Each Paper)
- There is negative Marking in this exam .

Phase II – Mains Exam
The candidate who got qualified in the Preliminary Exam will be eligible for the Mains exam. The candidates are required to appear for the Mains exam.

- There will be a total of 8 papers
- The duration of each paper will be 3 hours .
- Paper I and Paper II will be of 200 marks each.
- The mains exam will be carrying a total of 1750 marks .
