OPSC Odisha Civil Services Exam 2018

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the admit card for Civil Service Commission examination at opsconline.gov.in. The admit card is released for the examination on November 25, 2018. Earlier the examination was supposed to be held on October 28, 2018. OPSC has rejected the 3565 total number of the application form because most of the candidates have not done the application fee payment and some candidates are over age. OPSC has announced the OPSC Odisha Civil Services Exam 2018  on September 03, 2018, with the announcement of 218 vacancies. Through this exam, OPSC will recruit candidates for Administrative, Police, Finance, Co-Operative, Employment, Revenu, and Taxation & Accounts Services. Eligibility Criteria of OPSC Odisha Civil Services 2018

The candidates who will meet the eligibility criteria are able to apply for the Services. The eligibility norms set by the Commission are as follows

Nationality: An Indian citizen is eligible to apply.

Age Limit: A candidate whose age is between 21 to 32 years on January 01, 2018 can apply. However, age relaxation is also applicable here as per government rules.

Educational Details: The candidate should have complete the Bachelor’s Degree.

Knowledge of Odia:

  • The candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia.
  • The candidates should pass middle school examination with one subject Odia.

Number of Attempts:

  • Every eligible candidate can attempt the exam four times.
  • In case of SC/ST, there is no restriction on attempts if eligible.
  • In case of OBC, the limit increases to seven times. 

Application Form of OPSC Odisha Civil Services 2018

The application process is on the go, hence the eligible candidates can apply on opsc.gov.in. All the candidates should submit the application form before the specified time. The form is to be filled online by the candidates. Apart from that, no other mode is available to apply. The candidates have to submit the application fee for completing the application form.

Mode of Application Fee & Form

The mode of submitting application fee is online. The candidates have to generate the e-challan while filling the application form. Later the challan has to be submitted in SBI (Any Branch).

The mode of submitting an application form is combined online as well as offline. the candidates have to fill the online form correctly. At last the duly filled application form along with all attachments should be submitted to OPSC.

Admit Card of OPSC Odisha Civil Services 2018

After completion of the application process, OPSC will issue the admit card on opsc.gov.in. The candidates who will have submitted the application form correctly in time will get admit card.

At first, the commission will release the admit card for Preliminary examination, then for the Main examination at last for Personality Test. Because these three stages will complete the recruitment.

Hence one by one, when prelims will over the qualifiers get the admit card for mains, similarly when mains will over the qualifiers of mian examination be issued the admit card for personality test.

The entire selection has been divided into three stages of examination. The entire exam carries 3250 marks.

Answer Key for OPSC Odisha Civil Services 2018 (Prelims)

As soon as the prelims examination will over, Odisha Public Service Commission will release the answer key for the examination. The candidates should note that The commission will release the admit card for prelims only. As the prelims examination is the only one which will be objective in nature. the main examination is conventional essay type. After releasing of answer key the candidates who will appear in the exam will able to cross-check their marked answer with the answer key.

With help of answer key, the candidates can estimate their chances of selection and can calculate estimated marks.

Result of OPSC Odisha Civil Services 2018

Like, admit card Commission will declare the result for each phase separately. At first, the result for prelims will be declared after conduction of exam. Similarly, the candidates who will appear in main the interview will able to check the result one by one.

The mode of getting the result will be online. Except for this OPSC will not introduce any other method for the same. OPSC will declare the result on its official website at opsc.gov.in. The candidates have to provide the login credentials for checking the result.

At last, when all the stages of the exam will complete, the Commission will prepare the final merit list of the selected candidates.

Selection Procedure of OPSC Odisha Civil Services 2018

As of now, candidates must have the exact idea about the selection procedure but they may be familiar with the minimum qualifying marks of each stage.

Minimum Qualifying marks in prelims

Prelims carry two subjects. GS I and II, in which General Studies II is qualifying in nature. Hence the marks obtained in GS II will not be added to the final merit list. However, the candidates have to obtain minimum 33% marks in GS II, for the evaluation of GS – I paper.

If any candidates fail to obtain 33% marks then he/her GS – I paper will not be evaluated.

Document Verification At the Time of OPSC Odisha Civil Services Interview

The candidates who will complete the journey till the interview have to produce all original documents. It is mandatory to carry all those documents which are used in the application form, at the time of personality test for document verification.
