MP Police Constable Eligibility
MP Police Constable candidates must meet the age, education and physical standards below.
Age & qualification
- Age: minimum 18 years; the upper limit (commonly cited around 33 years for the general category, and higher — up to about 38 — with the female and reserved-category relaxations) is set in each MPESB notification. Always confirm the exact figure against the current advertisement.
- Educational qualification: Class 10 (Matric) pass for Constable (General Duty); Constable (Radio) and technical posts require Class 12 with ITI in the relevant trade, and Driver posts a valid driving licence.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — qualifying
- 800 m run: male 2 min 45 sec; female 4 minutes.
- Long jump: male 13 ft; female 10 ft.
- Shot put: male 19 ft (7.260 kg); female 15 ft (4 kg).
