UP Police Constable Selection Process
UP Police Constable selection has the following stages:
1. Written Examination
The 300-mark OMR test; candidates are shortlisted on written marks for the next stage.
2. Document Verification & Physical Standard Test (PST)
Verification of documents and measurement of height and chest (male) against the standards.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
A qualifying run — 4.8 km in 25 minutes (male) and 2.4 km in 14 minutes (female).
4. Medical Examination & Final Merit
A medical examination as per Police standards, followed by the final merit list. The merit is based on the written examination marks only — the PST and PET are pass/fail.
