UPSC CAPF Selection Procedure
Below is the selection procedure for the recruitment of candidates through CAPF exam of UPSC. A merit list releases after every stage of recruitment:
Written Exam: The written exam consists of 2 papers. Paper-1 is of 250 marks and has 125 questions of 2 marks each. The paper-2 has 200 marks. The candidates have to write an essay and detailed answers in paper-2.
Physical Efficiency Test: The candidates who qualify the written exam are issued admit card for the PET. The PET round consists of physical measurements, short run, long run, long jump and shot put. The pregnant women are disqualified in this round.
Personality Test: Candidate clearing the PET are called for the personality test. Candidates who are shortlisted for the personality test are issued the detailed application form in which they have to indicate their preference for forces. The personality test consists of a document verification round and personal interview. Candidates having all the documents appear in the personal interview. The candidates are judged on a scale of 150 marks in the personal interview. A final merit list is prepared after this test for the recruitment candidates.
