UPSC CAPF 2017 is a national level entrance test conducted by Union Public Service Commission in order to recruit the Assistant Commandants in CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces).   • Physical Standard/Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standard Test
  • Interview

UPSC CAPF 2017 – Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Nationals to apply for the post.

Sex : Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for the post of Assistant Commandants

Age Limit – A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2017, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1992 and not later than 1st August, 1997.

UPSC CAPF Admit Card 2017

UPSC has issued the CAPF Admit Card 2017 on the official website. The candidates can download it from the link above, by submitting the Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth. The candidates will have to carry instruction page with the admit card on the exam day. Else, they will not be able to enter the exam hall.

UPSC CAPF 2017 Selection Process

The Selection Procedure for short listing the candidates for the completion of the recruitment will be as follows:

(I) Written Examination :- The written examination will be conducted by Union Public Service Commission on 23rd July 2017. The paper will comprise of two papers.

Paper I- The exam will consist of questions from General Ability and Intelligence of total 250 Marks. The questions will be Objective Type meaning Multiple choice questions. There will be multiple options and the candidate has to pick the best possible answer. The question paper will be set in English as well as Hindi. The exam will start from 10 a.m. to 12.00 pm.

Paper II : The exam will consist of questions from General Studies, Essay and Comprehension of total 200 Marks. Here the questions will be related to writing Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be English only.The exam will start from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

(ii) Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Test:-

This stage is called PST/PET test. Here the candidates declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Those candidates will be put through the Physical Efficiency Tests as indicated below :
