UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Nationals to apply for the post.
Sex: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for the post of Assistant Commandants
Age Limit – A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August. Upper Age Relaxation is as follows:

|Domicile of State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st
January 1980 to the 31st day of December 1989.
UPSC CAPF Selection Process
The Selection Procedure for shortlisting the candidates for the completion of the recruitment will be as follows:
(I) Written Examination:– The written examination will be conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The paper will comprise of two papers.
Paper I– The exam will consist of questions from General Ability and Intelligence of total 250 Marks. The questions will be Objective Type meaning Multiple choice questions. There will be multiple options and the candidate has to pick the best possible answer. The question paper will be set in English as well as Hindi. The exam will start from 10 a.m. to 12.00 pm.
Paper II – The exam will consist of questions from General Studies, Essay and Comprehension of total 200 Marks. Here the questions will be related to writing Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components, and other communications/ language skills will be English only.The exam will start from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
(ii) Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Test:-
This stage is called PST/PET test. Here the candidates declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Those candidates will be put through the Physical Efficiency Tests as indicated below :

(c) Long Jump
(d) Shot Put

(III) Interview – all the candidates who pass all these tests will be summoned for a personal interview with the officials. After satisfying the officials of the suitability for the post, the candidates will be recruited for the AC post. If you clear the exam and the result is shown in the list.
