-General Awareness and General Knowledge (50 Marks),
-Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) (30 Marks),

- There will be 100 questions with four options. The candidate has to mark the correct answer.
- Duration of the examination will be One Hour and the paper will be of 100 marks.
- Each question will carry equal mark.
- There will be the provision of negative marking, on every wrong answer 1/4th mark will be deducted.
- The exam paper will be in Bengali and Nepali language.

Eligibility of WB Police Constable Recruitment 2018
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian.
Only male candidates are eligible for the post.
Age limit: The candidate must be between 18 to 27 years on January 01, 2018.
There is age relaxation policy is also applicable. the candidate belonging to the SC/ST category will get 05 years of age relaxation. The candidate belonging to the OBC category will get 03 years as age relaxation. The upper age limit is also relaxable for the Ex-servicemen, NVF and Home Guards Personnel (serving in West Bengal Police only) as per existing Government Rules.
Educational Qualification
The candidate who is applying for the post must pass the Madhyamik Examination(10th) from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination or its equivalent by any organization.
Knowledge of Langauge:
The candidate must be proficient in reading the writing and speaking of Bengali language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts
