Selection Procedure For CGPSC Recruitment
Commonly, the selection procedure of CGPSC recruitment consists of three main stages viz. preliminary examination, main examination, and interview stage.
The preliminary examination is conducted through an objective type of question paper. In the MCQ format, there are four options out of which candidates must choose the correct option. Candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks to shortlisted in the result and become eligible for the next round of selection procedure.
Those who qualify in the preliminary stage exam can appear in the main exam. The main examination is conducted in conventional nature that is a written examination and is generally having a descriptive question paper. Candidates have to write short/medium/long answer type questions, essays within specified word limits.
The final and next round of selection is the interview round/personality test. Candidates’ knowledge and its implications on service are examined through a personality test. Those who qualify through the first two stages are eligible for the final stage. Upon clearing the interview stage, candidates are offered an appointment at the concerning vacancies.
Applications For CGPSC Recruitment
Whenever CGPSC announces any recruitment notification an application window is scheduled during which, eligible and interested candidates can apply for the recruitment either online or offline. Conventionally, all recruitments conducted through competitive examinations are conducted through an online application process. The Commission then releases the hall ticket for various CGPSC recruitment exams. Hall tickets are released at the official website, psc.cg.gov.in. The Commission publishes specific data such as the candidate’s name, roll number, and other candidature details through the admit card. CGPSC Answer Key
For all exams of CGPSC recruitment having an objective type question paper, the Commission usually releases the model answers. CGPSC Answer key of such exams is released only through the official website. Candidates can know the correct answers from the answer keys and with the knowledge of the marks distribution pattern, one can also estimate the final marks. Marks can be calculated with the help of a marking scheme which is different for different examinations. Besides ensuring that there is sufficient transparency in the evaluation process of the examination, the Commission also candidates to raise objections against the answer keys.
One can challenge answer keys by uploading the objections through the website as per the schedule specified by the Commission indicated in the Answer Key pdfs. Once the objection window is closed, the authorities evaluate all the submitted objections. One must note that these challenges must be backed by proper academic evidence. Besides, one must also check and pay the fee per objection. The final answer key, after making necessary rectifications is released by the Commission. One cannot challenge the final answer keys and the results are based on the final answer keys only.
Results Of CGPSC Recruitment
Results of various CGPSC recruitment exams are announced in three stages – (i) prelims and (ii) mains (iii) interview round. One can check results online at psc.cg.gov.in. The result for various recruitments under CGPSC is declared in the form of a merit list of selected candidates. To qualify for the next round, candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks. Once a candidate qualifies all rounds of the selection procedure, a selection list of shortlisted candidates is released having only roll number of the candidates.

The state of Chhattisgarh came into existence on November 01, 2000 under the re-organization of Madhya Pradesh. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) was formed on May 23, 2001 under the provision of Act 315 of the constitution of India. CGPSC aims to conduct the examination for the appointments in the state.
