RRC Group D 2020 – Railway Recruitment Cell will conduct RRC Group D 2020 CBT from December 15, 2020 onwards. Applicants can get the latest updates on RRC Group D recruitment from indianrailways.gov.in. RRC Group D Recruitment (CEN RRC 01/2019) is open for 103769 vacancies of junior clerk-cum-typist, junior time keeper, trains clerk, goods guard, etc. The selection of the candidates for RRC Group D 2019 will be done on the basis of CBT, followed by PET and DV round. To be a part of the recruitment process, candidates have to fill the application form which is made available at the zonal websites of the RRB. To know the important dates of RRC Group D 2020, refer to the table below.

RRC Group D Answer Key 2020
The answer key will also be released after the completion of the CBT exam for the candidates who have appeared for the CBT exam. The answer key is going to be provided to the candidates at the login. To download the RRC Group D Answer key 2020, candidates have to enter their user id and password. By answer key, candidates can predict their scores. Also, they shall get to know their chances of being selected for the further rounds of the recruitment process. Applicants can also raise objection against the answer key if they are not satisfied with it. After that final answer key will be released in which no changes are going to be entertained.
RRC Group D Admit Card 2020
Admit Card is going to be issued by the RRC to the eligible candidates who have filled the application form correctly. The admit card is going to be available in online mode at the zonal website of the RRCs. To download the admit card, enter your user id and date of birth. Candidates must make sure that they carry the admit card in a printed format on the day of examination.
For each phase, candidates are issued admit card separately. Only those candidates are going to be eligible to get the admit card who qualify the round. On the day of the exam, candidates should make sure that they carry RRC Group D Admit Card 2020, valid photo id proof, passport size photo. In case a candidate fails to carry the required documents then he / she will not be allowed to take the exam.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST category will also be eligible to get the travel pass free of cost. The travel authority will only be given if the candidate has uploaded the category certificate during the filling of application form.
RRB Group D Application Status
RRC released the application status on July 25, 2019. The status was released on the official website of RRC and RRB and indicated if the application form of the candidates has been accepted or rejected. After checking the status a lot of candidates were not satisfied, as the application form of around 4 lakh candidate was rejected. The candidates then submitted complaints with RRC after which Indian Railway allowed candidates to formally submit complaint against RRC Group D application status.
The RRC is now reviewing all the applications and will release the final application status on August 31, 2019. The provided status will be final and no complaint against it will considered under any circumstances. The candidates whose application status will be positive, will get the admit card.
RRC Group D Notice 2020 (Official Updates)

27 March 2019 – Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) released a notice in which changes have been done for the number of candidates shortlisted for the Document Verification. The shortlisted candidates for the DV round will be 5% (1.5 times) more than the number of total vacancy in the RRC Group D Recruitment 2020.

RRC Group D Selection Process 2020
The appointment of the candidates for the posts release in Group D is going to be done on the basis of three stages:
- Computer Based Test
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification
RRC Group D 2020 CBT
It is significant for the candidates to know the pattern for examination as to start their preparation accordingly. Candidates can check the complete procedure of selection given below.
- Number of Questions – There will be 100 questions multiple choice based in the exam.
- Duration of the Exam – Candidates are going to get 90 minutes to attempt the questions. Candidates belonging to PwD category will get 120 minutes (2 hours) for CBT exam.
- Subjects – The questions in the exam will be asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness and Current Affairs.
- Marking Scheme – For every correct answer, candidates get 1 marks. 1/3 marks will be deduced for every incorrect answer, from the total score.
- Distribution of Question – Candidates can check the distribution of question by referring to the table below.

RRC Group D Cut Off
To qualify the CBT exam, candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks. The passing marks for each category are different. Students can check the table below to know the cutoff marks.

RRC Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 2020
Candidates who are going to clear the CBT round successfully are going to undergo PET round in which they have to perform physical tasks like running, long jump and high jump etc. For PET round, three times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for this round.
Candidates can refer to the table given below to know the tasks which one needs to perform.

Candidates have to lift the weight without putting it down. For weight lifting, candidates will get 2 Min. Applicants are going to get 1 chance each in both the tasks. Candidates are required to lift a sandbag around the waist and carry it till the destination point.
RRC Group D Document Verification 2020
Those candidates who clear all the two stages are going to be called for the Document Verification round. Under this round, candidates have to present the necessary documents stating their eligibility and education qualification proof of being appointed for the post. Candidates have to carry original and two sets of self-attested photocopies of the documents. It is mandatory for the candidates to attend the round of document verification on the specified date and time. Here is the list of documents which candidates have to carry on the document verification day.

- Caste Certificate (If applicable)
- OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate

- Name Change Gazette Notification and / or Legal Documents.
- Receipt of Payment.
- Self Certification by Transgender Candidates.
- J&K Domicile Certificate (If applicable)
- Decree of Divorce / Judicial Separation from Court of Law.
- Spouse’s Death Certificate (In Case of Widow).
- Ex-Servicemen candidates who secure civil employment after applying for this CEN should give self-declaration to the concerned employer about the details of application against this CEN, as soon as they join.
Note: Candidates have to present the documents in either Hindi or English. In case, the certificate is in some other language then one must produce the self-attested translated version of the documents.

RRC Group D Result 2020
RRC Group D Result 2020 is going to be published in online mode at the zonal website of the RRCs. RRC will release the merit list and scorecard separately. The merit list will be released in a pdf format and comprises of the names of the shortlisted candidates. However, the scorecard will be available at login. All the candidates who are going to take the exam will be able to download the scorecard by entering their login credentials, user id, and date of birth. With the release of the merit list, candidates get to know whether you are selected for the next round, PET or not.
RRB Group D Medical Exam 2020
Applicants called for the Document Verification round are requires to pass the medical fitness test to be appointed for the post applied. The medical exam will be conducted at the Railway Hospitals to make sure that the candidate is medically fit. Visual Acuity Standard is an important criterion for the appointment in railway.
It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify the medical test to be selected for the post. Check the qualifying criteria for each post mentioned below.
- A2: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without specs (No fogging test). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 without glasses must pass the tests of colored vision, binocular vision, mesopic vision, and night vision.
- A3: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without specs (Lens POwer not more than 2D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses must pass the tests of colored vision, binocular vision, mesopic vision, and night vision.
- B1: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without specs (Power of the lenses should not be more than 4D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses while reading doing some close work and must clear the tests of colored vision, binocular vision, mesopic vision, and night vision.
- B2: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without specs (Power of the lenses should not be more than 4D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses while reading doing some close work and must clear the tests of binocular vision.
- C1: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses while reading or doing some close work.
- C2: Physically fit in all aspects, Visual standards – Distance Vision: 6/12 or Nil with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn: 0.6 combined with or without glasses while reading or doing some close work.

RRC Group D Eligibility Criteria 2020
Interested candidates should first go through the eligibility criteria and then fill the application form. As per the details filled in the application form, verification of the documents of the candidate are going to be done. Candidates can check the pointers given below.
Nationality: Applicants should be a citizen of India or a
- Resident of Nepal
- Resident of Bhutan
- Tibetan refugee who settled in India, before January 01, 1962.
- People migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, and Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle permanently in India.
Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th Standard OR
- Should have an ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT / SCVT or its equivalent, OR
- Should hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Age Limit: Candidates have to be between 18 to 33 years of age in order to apply. Refer to the table below to know about the upper age limit and lower age limit for each category.

RRC Group D Application Form 2020
Candidates could only fill and submit application form in online mode by visiting any of the zonal websites of the RRB. Applicants had to first do the registration by filling up the details like name, e-mail id, phone no, date of birth, the zone for which you want to apply, father’s name, educational details, aadhar number, etc.
After completing the registering process, an OTP was sent on the registered contact details to fill the RRC Group D Application Form 2020. Then, the candidates had to fill the first part of the application form academic details, community, gender, religion, age relaxation, ExSM, PwBD, minority etc. Now, set the preference of the posts for which you wish to apply and fill up the language of the exam, and upload the relevant documents like photograph, signature, caste certificate and photo of scribe if applicable as per the specifications.
Note: While filling the application form, candidates could enter their roll number instead of the registration no. if it is not available in the SSLC mark sheet or ITI/NAC certificate/mark sheet.
Application Fee: To complete the process of application, candidates had to pay the application fee. The amount fee was as below:

Mode of Payment: The amount of application fee could only e paid online, via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Post Office challan, SBI challan.

Note: Applicants must note that they are not required to send a copy of application form at the RRC.
Refund of Application Fee: RRC will refund the application fee to those candidates who will appear for the CBT 1. The refund details will be announced later on but the amount of fee refund will be as follows:
- Candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PwD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class are going to get refund of Rs. 250.
- The rest of the categories will get a refund of Rs. 400.
RRC Group D Form Correction 2019
After submitting the application form, candidates are also going to get an option to edit the application form. Candidates have to pay the modification fee of Rs. 100 (Non-refundable) in order to make changes in the application form. Applicants can only make certain changes in the application form. There are few things which you cannot be edited like zone, Email ID and mobile number. Rest all can be changed.
Applicants can also change the category if they wish to for example: from UR / OBC to SC/ ST. To change the category, candidates have to pay the modification fee of Rs. 100 along with an additional amount of Rs. 250. The correction in the RRC Group D application form 2019 can only be done twice. After making the correction in the application form, candidates should keep the copy of the revised copy of the application form with themselves.
