Nagaland TET Eligibility

Nagaland TET eligibility follows the NCTE framework. The qualification you need depends on the paper you sit. A candidate pursuing the final year of a recognised teacher-training course (D.El.Ed. / B.El.Ed. / B.Ed.) may also apply, with the final-year admit card.

Paper I — to teach classes I to V

Passed HSSLC / 10+2 (or above) with at least 45% marks and holding a professional qualification — D.Ed. / D.El.Ed. / B.El.Ed. / B.Ed.

Paper II — to teach classes VI to VIII

Passed Graduation (or above) with at least 45% marks and holding a professional qualification — B.Ed. / D.Ed. / D.El.Ed. / B.El.Ed.

In-service teachers

Government in-service teachers holding PSTE / CPTE / D.Ed. are also eligible to apply. In-service teachers recruited before the RTE Act came into force, and having more than five years to superannuation, must qualify N-TET by 31 August 2028 (the Supreme Court having extended the timeline). Confirm your own qualification against the N-TET guidelines before applying.
