As the application process has started for the examination, so the candidates must apply before the last date so that they can appear for the examination. Application Form for West Bengal Judicial Service
The application process for the exam has been started. Candidates are advised to fill the form correctly and pay the exam fee before the date is due. The application forms are online on the website of West Bengal Public Service Commission. The direct link for the application is given on the “Application Form” page. Before applying the candidates have to enroll them on the website of WBPSC. Those who have already made enrollment through the same website (i.e. www.pscwbapplication.in ) need not enroll once again.
Eligibility Criteria for judicial service In West Bengal
West Bengal Public Service Commission has set some sort of rules for the eligibility in the examination to check those from here.
Nationality: The candidate must be Indian Citizen.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be the holder of the Law degree from any recognized university in India. &
- Should have enrolled his/her name in the in the roll of Bar Council of any State or Union Territory in India as an Advocate.
Knowledge of language: The aspirant should be proficient to read, write and speak in Bengali.(but not applicable to those whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Age Limit: The age of the candidate must be between 23 to 35 years. (i.e. born not earlier than April 15, 1983, and not later than April 14, 1995).
Age Relaxation: There is the provision for the age relaxation.
- The candidates who belong to the SC/ST category will get age relaxation up to maximum 05 years(Especially for the West Bengal Native).
- The candidates who belong to the BC category will get age relaxation up to maximum 03 years(Especially for the West Bengal Native).
- The age relaxation for the Person who has the disability more than 40% will get age relaxation up to maximum 10 years.
- And the candidates who have on the government service for at least 02 years will get age relaxation of 02 years.
Admit Card for Judicial service in West Bengal
The admit card for the Judicial Service Examination will be released online on the official website of West Bengal Public Service Commission. As the examination will be held in three stages, So first the Admit card for the Preliminary Examination will be released. And after conduction of the examination and the after releasing of the result for pre-examination, The qualified candidates will get the admit card for the Final examination. The only mode of getting the admit card is online, no admit card will be sent to the candidates by post or any other method. West Bengal Judicial Service Admit Card 2018 will be available online on the official website after the application process is over.
Examination Pattern & Exam Center
The Examination will be held in thee stages
- Preliminary examination: which consist of Multiple Choice questions.
- Final Examination: This examination will be descriptive type.
- Personality Test: This will test the candidates on his/her intelligence and the nature of the candidate to suitability for the test.
The West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2018 will be held on the centers of West Bengal.
- Preliminary Examination Centers: Kolkata (Code – 01) and Darjeeling (Code – 02)
- Final Examination Center: Kolkata
- Personality Test Centers: in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal.
The Examination of West Bengal Judicial Service will be held in three phase i.e Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type), Final Examination (Conventional Type – Written) and Personality Test. The answer key for only Preliminary Examination will be released by the Board. The answer key will be released online on the official website of the PSc. The candidates who will appear in the examination will be able to check the Answer Key. The result of the West Bengal Judicial Service examination 2018 will be released in three stages after the conduction of each stage the result for the respective stage will be released by the conducting body. The candidate who will clear the stage 1 will able to face the next stage of the examination. The result will be available on the page as well, as the direct link for the result will be made available on this page when the result will be released by the PSC.
Selection Process and Pay Scale
The candidates who will apply for the examination has to undergo the three stage of the selection. A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed admission to the Final Examination and a number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Final Examination will be called to appear at the Personality Test. After clearing all the stages the candidates will be appointed by the PSC as the Junior Judge. All appointments will initially be made on a temporary basis.
The pay band of the candidates will be according to the Rs.27,700-770-33090-920-40450-1080-44770/-. And the allowances are also allowed for the post by the government.
