RPSC — the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer — is the state commission that recruits for the Rajasthan state services and a wide range of other posts. It conducts several examinations each year; the most sought-after are set out below.
Major RPSC exams
| Exam | Recruits for | Selection |
|---|---|---|
| RAS / RTS (State & Subordinate Services) | Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS), Rajasthan Police Service, Tehsildar and other services | Prelims → Mains → Interview |
| Senior Teacher Grade II (2nd Grade) | Secondary-school teachers in subject-wise cadres | Written exam (two papers) → Document Verification |
| Sub Inspector (SI) — Police | Sub-Inspector / Platoon Commander in Rajasthan Police | Written exam → PET/PST → Interview |
RPSC also conducts the School Lecturer (1st Grade), Assistant Professor, Sub Inspector and various other recruitments. Applications are made through the Rajasthan SSO portal. Each exam has its own notification, eligibility and schedule.
On this page you will find the eligibility, exam pattern and syllabus of the major RPSC exams, and how the application, admit card, answer key and result work — with a direct link to the official site for the current dates and downloads. For the flagship exam in full, see the RPSC RAS page.

RPSC Eligibility
Eligibility for RPSC exams differs by the post, but a few conditions are common: Indian nationality (with the state's domicile rules for reserved seats), and an upper age limit that is relaxed for reserved categories. The qualification is what changes most from exam to exam.
Eligibility at a glance
| Exam | Educational qualification | Age (general) |
|---|---|---|
| RAS / RTS (State & Subordinate Services) | Bachelor's degree in any discipline | 21–40 years |
| Senior Teacher Grade II (2nd Grade) | Graduation in the relevant subject with a B.Ed | 18–40 years |
| Sub Inspector (SI) — Police | Bachelor's degree in any discipline | 20–25 years |
Age relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxed for SC, ST, OBC, women, PwD and ex-servicemen candidates as per the state rules, and the age is reckoned on the date fixed in each exam's official notification. Always confirm the exact limit and relaxation in the notification you are applying against.
Notes
Some technical, medical and teaching posts require a specific degree — check the post-wise requirement in the relevant notification. Final-year candidates can usually apply, subject to producing proof of passing. For the flagship exam in detail, see the RPSC RAS eligibility page.
RPSC Application Form
