The Combined Defence Services exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year in two sessions. The examination for the first session is already over this year. How To Fill UPSC CDS Application Form 2021?
The procedure to submit CDS application form is pretty simple. Candidates have to register themselves and then submit the online application form. Here is the detailed procedure on how to apply for CDS examination below.
1st step: Go to the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in.
2nd step: Now, scroll down a little and click on ‘apply online’ button.
3rd step: Then, a page as shown below appears on the screen. Click on ‘online application for various examination’.
4th step: Aspirants are then directed to the application page. Here, they will get the link to apply for the CDS exam.
5th step: Read all the important instructions and then proceed to register for the exam.
6th step: Enter the details asked in the CDS registration.
7th step: Now, login using the login details and proceed to fill the application form.
8th step: Next step is to upload the documents and pay the application fee.

CDS Application Fee 2021

Mode of Payment:
- Offline Mode: Deposit cash in any bank of SBI
- Online mode: Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card.
Note: In case, aspirants have paid the fee and it is not reflected in the UPSC account then it is considered a fictitious fee matter. UPSC releases a list of candidates under fictitious fee payment within 02 weeks from the last date of application submission. Such candidates have to submit proof of the fee payment either by hand or by speed post so that their application is accepted.

What After CDS Application Form 2021?
After the application process for CDS is over, aspirants get an opportunity to withdraw their form. The CDS application form withdrawal process takes place online at upsc.gov.in. Thereafter, UPSC releases the call letters for the examination. Candidates who have successfully submitted applications can download the CDS admit card from upsc.gov.in. They require a registration number/ roll number. Aspirants must regularly visit the official website to download the CDS admit card 2021. UPSC publishes the admit card at least 03 weeks before the exam.

Union Public Service Commission holds the responsibility to conduct the Combined Defense Services Examination. It is one of the most reputed and competitive examinations. Each year, lakhs of candidate appear for the exam. Both male and female candidates are eligible to appear for the CDS exam. Ans1: The mode of payment of application fee is both offline and online.
Ans 2: Female candidates, persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) and SC/ ST candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Ans3: The candidate should avoid submitting more than one online application form. In case of doing so, the data provided in the last application for with the highest RID Number is accepted.
