MPPSC State Service Exam Pattern & Syllabus
MPPSC State Service is a three-stage examination — Preliminary, Main and Interview.
Preliminary examination (objective)

Both papers are objective. Paper II (CSAT) is qualifying; only Paper I is used to shortlist for the Mains, and the Prelims marks do not count towards the final merit.
Main examination (descriptive)
The Mains has six descriptive papers for a total of 1,400 marks — General Studies papers, a General Hindi paper and a Hindi Essay. The exact paper split is set in the notification.
Interview
The Interview carries 175 marks. The final merit is prepared from the Mains (1,400) and the Interview (175).
