MPSC Rajyaseva Selection Process

MPSC Rajyaseva selects candidates through three successive stages.

Stage 1 — Preliminary examination

Two objective papers; only General Studies Paper I counts for shortlisting (CSAT is qualifying). Candidates above the category-wise cut-off are shortlisted for the Mains, and the Prelims marks are not carried forward.

Stage 2 — Main examination

Nine descriptive papers, of which seven carry the 1,750 merit marks (two language papers are qualifying). Candidates are shortlisted for the Interview on the Mains result.

Stage 3 — Interview

A personality test of 275 marks. The final merit list is prepared from the Mains and the Interview (1,750 + 275), and posts are allotted by rank and preference, subject to reservation.
