MPSC Rajyaseva Exam Pattern & Syllabus
MPSC Rajyaseva is a three-stage examination — Preliminary, Main and Interview.
Preliminary examination (objective)

Both papers are objective, set in Marathi and English, with negative marking (one-fourth of a mark for a wrong answer). Paper II (CSAT) is qualifying; only Paper I is used to shortlist for the Mains.
Main examination (descriptive — new pattern)
From 2025 the Mains has nine descriptive papers. Two are language papers (Marathi and English) that are qualifying only and do not count for merit. The remaining seven — an Essay, four General Studies papers and two Optional-subject papers (from a list of 26 optionals) — carry the merit marks, totalling 1,750 marks.
Interview
The Interview (personality test) carries 275 marks. The final merit is prepared from the Mains (1,750) and the Interview (275).
