MPSC Eligibility
Eligibility for MPSC exams differs by the post, but a few conditions are common: Indian nationality (with the state's domicile rules for reserved seats), and an upper age limit that is relaxed for reserved categories. The qualification is what changes most from exam to exam.
Eligibility at a glance
| Exam | Educational qualification | Age (general) |
|---|---|---|
| Rajyaseva / State Services | Bachelor's degree in any discipline | 19–38 years |
| Group B (Non-Gazetted) Combined | Bachelor's degree in any discipline | 18–38 years (PSI 19–31) |
| Group C Combined | Qualification varies by post (12th pass or graduation) | 18–38 years |
Age relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxed for SC, ST, OBC, women, PwD and ex-servicemen candidates as per the state rules, and the age is reckoned on the date fixed in each exam's official notification. Always confirm the exact limit and relaxation in the notification you are applying against.
Notes
Some technical, medical and teaching posts require a specific degree — check the post-wise requirement in the relevant notification. Final-year candidates can usually apply, subject to producing proof of passing. For the flagship exam in detail, see the MPSC Rajyaseva eligibility page.
