  1. 14 Sep 2026 · cdnbbsr.s3waas.gov.in CTET PUBLIC NOTICE: Exam Dates for 22nd edition of CTET PDF

The CTET admit card for the 22nd edition is not out yet: CBSE will put it on the CTET portal two days before the examination, which is scheduled for 12 and 13 December 2026. Before that, the examination city and the date allotted to you will be shown on the portal 15 days before the exam. Both steps are set out in CBSE's public notice of 14 September 2026.

Is the CTET December 2026 admit card out?

No. The CBSE public notice of 14 September 2026 fixed the exam for 12 and 13 December 2026. CBSE had reopened applications for this edition from 25 August to 1 September 2026, citing a Supreme Court judgment on giving eligible teachers a reasonable opportunity to acquire the TET qualification, and said the revised exam date would be announced after the portal closed. The original Information Bulletin had listed 6 September 2026.

City and date intimation vs admit card

  • City and date intimation: tells you the examination city and which of the two days you have been allotted. The application form had no option to choose a city; CBSE allots cities on a random basis and will not accept requests to change the allotted city or date "for whatsoever reason".
  • Admit card: carries the details of the examination centre. The Centre Superintendent will not admit a candidate who does not have a valid admit card downloaded from the CTET website.

How to download the CTET admit card

The candidate login for this edition, linked from ctet.nic.in as "CTET SEP 2026 Login", asks for your Application Number and Password. For the February 2026 edition, CBSE posted two admit card download links (link1 and link2) on its home page, and the admit card login asked for Application No., Password and a CAPTCHA, with a checkbox giving consent for biometric attendance at the examination centre and a Forgot Password option.

What to check on the admit card

Compare your particulars, photograph and signature with your Confirmation Page. If anything is different, the Information Bulletin tells you to immediately contact the CTET Unit for corrections: CTET Unit, CBSE Integrated Office Complex, Sector-23, Phase-1, Dwarka, New Delhi-110077, phone 011-24050477, email [email protected] (mention your Registration/Application No.). Also check the paper, date and shift. In the February 2026 edition, a notice dated 27 January 2026 spread the exam over 7 and 8 February and asked candidates "to check the date & schedule of examination properly on their admit card".

CTET exam-day rules

The Information Bulletin issued in May 2026 for this edition (then dated for 6 September 2026) lays down these rules; follow the shift printed on your admit card.

  • Shifts: Paper II from 09:30 AM to 12:00 noon and Paper I from 02:30 PM to 05:00 PM, two and a half hours each.
  • Reporting: 7:30 AM for Paper II and 12:30 PM for Paper I, that is 120 minutes before the start. Anyone reporting after 09:30 AM (Paper II) or after 02:30 PM (Paper I) will not be allowed to appear.
  • Biometric authentication may be introduced at the centres, so arrive well in time.
  • The sealed Test Booklet with the OMR sheet inside is handed out fifteen minutes before the paper; you break the seal five minutes before it starts.
  • Bring your own good-quality black or blue ball point pen; the Board will not supply one, and OMR sheets filled with pencil will be rejected.
  • Not allowed inside: geometry or pencil boxes, calculators, scales, erasers, whitener, log tables, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, health bands, any watch, wallets, goggles, handbags and ornaments.
  • Sign the attendance sheet twice: after the test starts and when you hand over the OMR sheet. Missing the second signature is dealt with as an unfair means case.
  • Candidates with benchmark disabilities seeking a scribe or compensatory time of 50 minutes must show the original disability certificate on the prescribed proforma or UDID card to the Centre Superintendent; those needing a scribe get a 20-minute interaction session one hour before the exam.
