What the TET-I 2025 paper looks like
The English-medium booklet is coded PTO 12025 (ENGLISH), Series A, for a total of 150 marks. Its cover instructions state the format that the papers follow:
- There are 150 questions, each with options A, B, C and D and only one answer; all questions are compulsory.
- One mark is given for each correct answer, and there is no negative marking.
- The maximum time is 120 minutes.
- Answers marked on more than one option, cross-marked, or re-marked using blade, eraser or whitener get no credit.
The paper follows the 5-section TET-I syllabus of 30 marks each: Child Development and Pedagogy, Gujarati (Language I), English (Language II), Mathematics, and Environment, General Knowledge and current trends in education.
Checking your answers
A single provisional key (Type A) served all three media. In the final key of 17 January 2026, the English-medium Type A key marks questions 21, 72 and 105 as Grace and accepts two options for some questions, such as question 16 (A&B), question 30 (B&D) and question 110 (A&D). Always mark a practice attempt against the final key rather than the provisional one.
How to use these papers
- Sit the full paper in one 120-minute block, in the medium you will choose on your application.
- Since there is no negative marking, attempt every question.
- Score it against the final key and compare with the pass mark: 90 marks for General, 82 marks for SC, ST, SEBC, PH and EWS.
- Note which 30-mark section cost you most and revise it from the syllabus.
In the TET-I 2025 result, 4,141 candidates scored 90 to 100, 804 scored 101 to 120, 3 scored 121 to 140 and 1 scored 141 to 150, while 7,460 scored 82 to 89.
