The TET-I 2025 notification was Notification No. રાપબો/TET-I/૨૦૨૫/12028-12140 dated 14 October 2025, and an amendment notification dated 8 November 2025 extended the dates and moved the probable exam date to 21 December 2025. The exam was held at Ahmedabad city, Ahmedabad rural, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.

The same Board also conducts separate aptitude tests, TAT (Secondary) and TAT (Higher Secondary), which have their own 2026 notifications.

Gujarat TET-I eligibility

For TET-I 2025, the Board required the educational and training qualifications fixed by the State Government for primary teachers in classes 1 to 5:

  • Educational qualification: at least HSC pass.
  • Training qualification: a two-year PTC / D.El.Ed, or a four-year B.El.Ed degree, or a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

The 8 November 2025 amendment allowed students in the final year of the training qualification to apply, with their application dependent on the final-year result. Qualifications are verified by the recruitment selection committee, whose decision is final; the Board lets every candidate who has paid the fee sit the test.

SC and ST candidates need a caste certificate from the competent authority, SEBC candidates a caste certificate and a non-creamy-layer certificate, and PH and EWS candidates the certificate of the competent authority.
