The latest REET answer key from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER) is the REET 2024 key. REET 2024 was held on 27–28 February 2025. BSER uploaded the provisional keys for Level 1 (first shift) and Level 2 (second and third shifts) on 25 March 2025, and objections closed at midnight on 31 March 2025. Final keys, a scaling formula and the result followed on the REET 2024 portal.
How did the REET 2024 objection process work?
BSER's objection instructions set out each step:
- Click the "OBJECTION ON ANSWER KEY" link and enter your roll number and date of birth. An OTP is sent to the mobile number in your application form.
- After OTP verification, choose the exam level, then enter your question booklet series and how many questions you are objecting to.
- For each question, upload the cover page of a standard, authentic book (showing title, author, publisher and edition) in JPEG, and the page with the answer underlined, with its page number, in JPEG.
- Enter the answer given in the provisional key and the answer you think is correct.
- A challan of ₹300 per question is generated and must be paid online. Objections without payment are not recorded. Keep the printout of your objections.
Proof must come from standard books, not guides or passbooks. Candidates who sat both levels file separate objections for each level, and each question can be objected to only once. Offline objections are not considered (objection vigyapti, 25 March 2025).
How to calculate your REET score from the key
Under the REET 2024 detailed vigyapti, each booklet has 150 questions of 1 mark each, and the vigyapti states there is no negative marking. The Level-1 paper has five sections of 30 questions each. Level-2 has four sections, the last being 60 questions in Mathematics and Science or in Social Studies. One rule acts like a penalty, though. The booklet has four options (A to D), but the OMR sheet has a fifth, E, which you darken if you do not want to answer. If none of the five circles is darkened for a question, one-third of that question's mark is deducted. If you leave all five blank in more than 10 percent of the questions, you are disqualified.
In the key PDFs, the columns A, B, C and D give the question's number in each booklet series, and "ANS" gives the answer. The REET 2024 final key for Level 1 also marks some questions "BONUS" and lists two options (for example "A,C") for others. Level 2 was held in more than one shift, so raw marks are scaled. The scaling chart gives subject-wise means and standard deviations for Shift-2 and Shift-3 and the formula Sij = µ+((Xij-µi)/σi)*σ, where µ and σ are the mean and standard deviation of the shift with the highest mean. For Social Studies, for example, the mean raw score was 28.5574 in Shift-2 and 23.958 in Shift-3.
Minimum pass marks: 60% for General/Unreserved; 55% for SC, OBC, MBC and EWS; 55% for ST outside TSP areas and 36% in TSP areas; 50% for widows, divorced women and ex-servicemen; 40% for persons with disabilities; and 36% for the Sahariya tribe in the Sahariya area.
What happens after the final key?
The vigyapti says there is no re-checking, re-assessment or scrutiny of OMR sheets. The REET certificate is valid for life under the state order of 16 March 2022, and by July 2026 the REET 2024 portal also carried a REET 2024 certificate link. Passing REET is only an eligibility condition; it gives no right to a teaching job. For REET 2024 queries, the helpline is 0145-2630436 or 2630437.
