The CRP RRBs-XV notification provides no answer key or objection window for the RRB Office Assistant exam, and IBPS did not post one in the CRP RRBs-XIII cycle. The CRP RRBs-XV notification sets out the penalty for wrong answers, cut-offs and score normalisation, but provides no answer-key or challenge procedure; it mentions an answer key only in its unfair-means clause on leakage. What IBPS releases instead is a result status and, in past cycles, a score login with a note on how scores were arrived at. IBPS's Tentative Calendar lists the 2026 Preliminary exam for 6, 12 and 13 December 2026.
Is there an IBPS RRB Office Assistant answer key or objection fee?
No. With no key in the CRP RRBs-XV notification there is no fee per question and no challenge window. In the CRP RRBs-XIII cycle the Office Assistant items IBPS posted were call letters, results and, on 1 January 2025, the Main result for provisional allotment together with a "Process for Arriving at Scores" note.
Marking scheme: how to estimate your own score
Every wrong answer costs one fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question; a question left blank costs nothing. Because the penalty is a share of each question's marks, a wrong answer in a section where questions carry more marks costs more.
| Stage | Test | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Preliminary | Reasoning | 40 | 40 | 25 minutes |
| Preliminary | Numerical Ability | 40 | 40 | 20 minutes |
| Main | Reasoning | 40 | 50 | 30 minutes |
| Main | Computer Knowledge | 40 | 20 | 15 minutes |
| Main | General Awareness | 40 | 40 | 15 minutes |
| Main | English or Hindi Language | 40 | 40 | 30 minutes |
| Main | Numerical Ability | 40 | 50 | 30 minutes |
The Preliminary totals 80 questions and 80 marks in 45 minutes; the Main totals 200 questions and 200 marks in 120 minutes. To estimate a Preliminary score from an unofficial key, add one mark per correct answer and subtract 0.25 per wrong answer, section by section, because you must clear a minimum cut-off in both Preliminary tests, not just the total.
Why your estimate will not match the official score
If the exam is held in more than one session, IBPS normalises the corrected scores of different sessions using the equi-percentile method, taking scores up to two decimal points. Your raw count is therefore only a guide. IBPS also analyses candidates' responses for patterns of similarity and can cancel candidature if it concludes that scores are not genuine.
What happens after the exam
Only the Main exam counts for the Office Assistant merit list. You need a minimum score in each Main test, and merely passing individual tests may not be enough: your total must be high enough in the order of merit, and shortlisting depends on the vacancies in each state. In past cycles, scores and the result status were released through logins on the IBPS website rather than as a public key.
