The CRP RRBs-XV notification provides no answer key or objection window for the RRB Officer exams, including the Officer Scale I Preliminary that IBPS's Tentative Calendar puts on 21 and 22 November 2026. The CRP RRBs-XV notification covers penalties, cut-offs, normalisation and score release, but provides no answer-key or challenge procedure; it mentions an answer key only in its unfair-means clause on leakage. In past cycles IBPS released a result status and, later, scores through candidate logins.
Is there an IBPS RRB Officer answer key or objection fee?
No. With no key in the CRP RRBs-XV notification there is no fee per question and no challenge window. In the CRP RRBs-XIII cycle, the Officer items IBPS posted after each exam were "Scores of Online Preliminary Examination" for Scale I on 17 September 2024 and "Scores of Online Main Examination" on 8 November 2024, each with a note on the process for arriving at scores.
Marking scheme by scale
Every wrong answer costs one fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question; an unanswered question costs nothing. In the Scale I Preliminary each question carries one mark, so a wrong answer costs 0.25 of a mark.
| Exam | Tests (questions / marks / time) | Total |
|---|---|---|
| Scale I Preliminary | Reasoning 40/40/25 minutes; Quantitative Aptitude 40/40/20 minutes | 80 questions, 80 marks, 45 minutes |
| Scale I Main | Reasoning 40/50/30 minutes; Computer Knowledge 40/20/15 minutes; General Awareness 40/40/15 minutes; English or Hindi 40/40/30 minutes; Quantitative Aptitude 40/50/30 minutes | 200 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes |
| Scale II (General Banking) and Scale III Single | Reasoning 40/50; Computer Knowledge 40/20; Financial Awareness 40/40; English or Hindi 40/40; Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation 40/50 | 200 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes |
| Scale II Specialist Single | Professional Knowledge 40/40/30 minutes; Reasoning 40/40/30 minutes; Financial Awareness 40/40/15 minutes; English or Hindi 40/20/30 minutes; Computer Knowledge 40/20/15 minutes; Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation 40/40/30 minutes | 240 questions, 200 marks, 150 minutes |
When you check your answers against an unofficial key, score each test separately: in the Preliminary you must clear the minimum cut-off in both Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, and in the Scale I Main and the Scale II/III Single exam you need a minimum score in each test.
Why your estimate will differ from IBPS's score
Corrected scores from different sessions are normalised using the equi-percentile method, to two decimal points. IBPS also analyses responses for patterns of similarity and can cancel candidature if it concludes that scores are not genuine. Merely passing individual tests may not be sufficient: your total has to be high enough in the order of merit.
What happens after the exam
For Scale I, only the Main counts for interview shortlisting and final merit; for Scale II and III, the Single exam counts. Up to three times the declared vacancies in each category are called for interview, and Main scores are not shared with candidates shortlisted for interview until the interview process is complete.
