Qualifying for a tough exam like Civil Services and working as an administrative officer is a huge challenge. For this, lakhs of candidates appear for the examination. But not even 1% of those students achieve success. Therefore, everyone needs a Guru Mantra to crack a tough exam like the UPSC. So today we have brought the success story of Sanjay Bhatia to you. Not only this, Sanjay Bhatia has also shared some basic mantras with which you can crack difficult exams like civil services.
Facing failure in childhood
Sanjay Bhatia belongs to a lower-middle-class family. At the same time, he was in need of breakfast every day. When he was in 5th grade, he came to know that a school provided breakfast every day. But to get admission to it, one had to pass a competitive exam. Sanjay took that exam, but he failed it. After this, he completed his studies at a government school.
Failed in engineering
After finishing school, Sanjay Bhatia started preparing for the IIT. But he did not succeed in this. Sanjay was selected at the Delhi College of Engineering. Ever since Sanjay started engineering, he had not taken his exams seriously. The result was that he failed in a subject in his third semester. But after this, he took his studies seriously and finished his engineering.
Trip to America for Masters
After completing engineering, Sanjay went to America. There he started his master’s studies. But in between, his mother’s health deteriorated, due to which Sanjay had to return to India. His mother’s health deteriorated, due to which she had to go to the hospital. After this, when he wanted to come back to America, his mother stopped him and did not allow him to go there.
Started preparation for UPSC after my mother’s decision
Sanjay Bhatia’s mother did not allow him to go back to America. For this, he decided that he would take the UPSC exam and become an administrative officer. For this, he started preparing for UPSC. He also had success in his first attempt but did not get the desired service. Therefore, Sanjay decided that he would give it one more try.
Problems increased in preparation for the second attempt.
While preparing for the second attempt, Sanjay had to go through problems like mental pressure. During this period, he also became very ill. But he did not lose courage and was determined to qualify for UPSC in his second attempt. For this, he would bear whatever trouble he had to go through. Therefore, he did not give up and continued to prepare. He successfully cleared his second UPSC attempt in 2010 with a good rank. He was also given IPS service. Today, Sanjay Bhatia is the DCP at the airport.
Don’t stress yourself out.
Sanjay Bhatia’s first guru mantra is to never let stress overpower you. Due to this, you may face setbacks, and you may also have to deal with problems. Sanjay says that if you are failing, then increase your hard work even more. This will give you definite success. Not only this, but never give up. Problems may increase. Sometimes it may seem that everything is over, but we have to keep preparing and continue with courage. Surely, one day, you will achieve success.
Keep it light and take it easy.
Sanjay’s second guru mantra is that all aspirants need to know what not to study. If you are unaware of what you should not read, then you can fall into a big trap. So first, know what you should not read. Reduce your syllabus accordingly and read-only quality books and material. Never collect excess material. This may increase the possibility of confusion. Therefore, focus only on quality studies.
Do not take the level of study too high.
You all will be aware that UPSC is a graduation-level exam. Therefore, only the graduation level has to be studied in this examination. If you prepare at the master’s or PhD level, then you cannot qualify for this exam. Therefore, study, keeping your level of study in mind.
Sanjay says today is bad, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow, the star will shine. So work hard and don’t give up. You will achieve success on this day.
