How to Apply for UPSC IAS 2021?
The application form is available in two parts. In the first part, candidates have to fill the application form and in the second part the uploading of documents and payment is done. Refer the steps given below to fill the UPSC IAS application form 2021:
Part I – Registration
1st step: Visit the UPSC official website, ups.gov.in or click on the direct link provided above.
2nd step: Click on the link, ‘apply online’.

3rd step: Now, click on ‘online application for various examination’. After this a new page is displayed on the screen. On this screen clcik on ‘ Online application for various examination of UPSC’.

4th step: On the next screen aspirants have to select ‘click here for Part 1’ to start the registration.

5th step: Candidates are asked to enter details like personal details, address, contact etc. After that they have to click on the ‘continue’ button.

6th step: Next step is to select the age relaxation; if applicable. Then, click on the ‘Continue’ button.
7th step: Last stage of registration is providing details of photo Id proof, the centre of examination, language of the examination, etc. After adding all the relevant details, submit them by clicking on the ‘continue’ button.
8th step: Then candidates have to confirm all their details by clicking on the ‘I agree’ after entering the captcha.
Part II – Payment and centre of examination
9th step: In the second part of the process, candidates have to submit the application fee for IAS 2021.
10th step: After the submission of application fee, candidates have to opt for the examination centre. Candidates are allowed to select only one examination centre.
11th step: Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications. Also the candidates have to submit their photo ID proof online.
12th step: Then they have to click on the declaration by clicking on the ‘I agree’ button. This will lead to the submission of Application form for IAS 2021.

What After Submitting UPSC IAS Application Form 2021?
Once the process of application is over, the Commission allows candidates to withdraw applications once. A specific schedule is announced during which candidates can withdraw the applications. Here are some important points to remember about the application form withdrawal.
- Form withdrawal is an optional opportunity for those candidates who later decide that they do not want to appear in the exam after submitting UPSC IAS Application Form online.
- There is no additional fee involved in withdrawing the application form.
- The application fee paid during the online application process however is not refunded.
- The admit card for the exam is released only after the application form withdrawal process is over.
UPSC Admit Card 2021
Once the application process for UPSC IAS is over, UPSC releases the admit card online. To download UPSC IAS admit card visit the official website upsc.gov.in.
- E-admit card is issued to candidates before 3 weeks from the date of commencement of IAS examination.
- No IAS admit card is sent to candidates via post or any other mode.
- If there is any discrepancy in the admit card, then candidates are advised to bring it to the notice of UPSC immediately.
- Carry a print out of UPSC Civil Services admit card with photo identity proof to the exam centre.
