IAS Admit Card
Last verified 31 Jul 2026
The UPSC Civil Services Examination (IAS) e-Admit Card is published on upsc.gov.in about two to three weeks before the examination and is downloaded from the Commission's website, not posted to candidates.
How to download
- Go to upsc.gov.in and open the e-Admit Card link for this examination.
- Log in with your Registration ID or Roll Number together with your date of birth.
- Check every detail — name, photograph, centre, subject and date.
- Download and print it. Keep a spare copy; you will need the admit card at later stages too.
If there is a discrepancy
UPSC asks candidates to report any discrepancy in the e-Admit Card immediately, and provides a dedicated facilitation counter and email for it. Do not wait until the examination day — a mismatch between the admit card and your photo identity can cost you the sitting.
What to carry
- The printed e-Admit Card
- The same original photo identity document whose number you entered in the application — Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport or Driving Licence
- Black ball point pen; UPSC prescribes it for the objective papers
Candidates are not admitted without the printed admit card and matching original photo identity.
