WBPSC Clerkship Answer Key 2026: Status, 2023 Keys & Objections

There is no WBPSC Clerkship 2024 answer key yet: Part-I is tentatively in December 2026 or thereabout and has not been held. The Advertisement No. 12/2024 says that after Model Answers (MCQ type) are displayed on the Commission's website, objections must be filed strictly within the specified time limit. The most recent keys are those of the Clerkship Examination 2023 Part-I, finalised on 16 May 2025.

How Part-I is marked

• 100 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each: English 30, General Studies 40, Arithmetic 30.
• Negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
• Each question has four probable answers, (A) to (D), marked on an OMR sheet with a black ball point pen, as the 2023 Test Booklet instructs.

To estimate your Part-I score, add 1 mark for each correct answer and subtract 0.25 for each wrong one. Note your Test Booklet Series: the key notices ask candidates to quote it when reporting a discrepancy.

Clerkship 2023 answer key timeline

The 2023 Part-I ran in four sessions: Sessions I and II on 16 November 2024 and Sessions III and IV on 17 November 2024. Each key gives the correct option for every question in four columns headed A, B, C and D, one for each Test Booklet Series, so use the column for your booklet series.

The key notices asked candidates to compare the keys with the question papers and report any discrepancy, quoting the Test Booklet Series and question serial number, through a link on the Commission's website within the window. Any incongruity reported after that date was not considered.

In the final keys, questions marked with an asterisk carry the note that the 1 mark allotted to the question will be awarded to all candidates irrespective of attempt. Final keys for every session are on the Commission's site: Session I, Session II, Session III and Session IV.

OMR sheets

For the 2023 Part-I, candidates could view their own OMR sheets in the "Candidate's corner" of psc.wb.gov.in from 29 October 2025 to 12 November 2025, under a notice of 29 October 2025. A later notice extended the last date to 17 November 2025 till midnight.

The Commission also rejected the OMR sheets of 318 candidates in the 2023 Part-I on grounds such as a blank booklet series, a mismatched booklet series and an unsigned OMR, according to its information notice of 15 October 2025. Fill the booklet series and sign the OMR sheet carefully in the 2024 Part-I.
