Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Junior Engineer (JE) examination to fill Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract. For the selection of the candidates, the CWE is held in two tiers. The Tier 1 has been held in February and now the admit card of SSC JE Tier 2 is being issued, for the descriptive exam in July 2017.

The SSC JE Admit Card 2017 for Tier 2 is being issued online, on the regional website of the Commission. Only those candidates will be able to download it, who have qualified Tier 1. Also called as SSC JE Admission Ticket, the admit card will be required at the exam hall and during the final recruitment. SSC JE Admit Card 2017 for Tier 2

Now that the result of SSC JE Paper 1 has been declared, the Commission is issuing the admit card. Out of 339379 candidates, only 2440 candidates have qualified under Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The total number of qualified candidates in the Civil stream is 5892.

The admit card of SSC JE 2017 Paper 2 is issued to all the qualified candidates. The dates for the issuance of admit card can be checked below.

With the Paper 1 result, SSC has also provided a cutoff and analysis PDF. In it, the Commission has clearly stated that the details of SSC JE Tier 2 is announced on the Regional Office website.

There are total 9 regions of SSC and these are Northern Region (NR), Central Region (CR), Eastern Region (ER), North Eastern Region (NER), Western Region (WR), Southern Region (SR), Karnataka Kerala Region (KKR), Madhya Pradesh Region (MPR), North Western Region (NWR).

How to Download SSC JE Admit Card 2017

The candidates can download the admit card of SSC Junior Engineer Paper 2 by following the steps below:

  • Click on the link the appropriate link for correct Regional Centre.
  • Click on the link for SSC JE 2017 Admit Card.
  • Enter Roll Number and Date of Birth, in the required space.
  • Check and download the admit card of SSC JE 2017.

Discrepancy in SSC JE Admit Card 2017

If there is any error in the admit card then the candidates may contact SSC. The Commission guides that one must write his / her Roll number along with the name, date of birth and name of the examination while addressing any communication to the concerned regional office of the Commission.

SSC JE Examination Preparation

The Paper II of Junior Engineer will be descriptive in nature. Candidates will have 2 hours to solve the paper, which will carry 300 marks. The paper will be divided into below mentioned three sections but the candidates will only have to attend one.

  • Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural)
  • Part- B General Engineering (Electrical)
  • Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical)

Unable to download JE Admit Card

If any candidate does not receive admission certificate for the examination one week before the date of examination, he/she must immediately contact the concerned regional/sub-regional office(s) of the Commission. Candidate must provide all of the following details for obtaining the admission certificates.

  • Registration ID.
  • Transaction ID.
  • A Copy of Challan.
  • Other Details.

Failure to do so will deprive him/her of any claim for consideration.

The importance of hall ticket issued by Staff Selection Commission lies in the fact that it enables a candidate to appear for the exam. It also has some valuable information printed on it, such as

  • Name
  • Roll number
  • Gender
  • Seat number
  • Date and time of exam
  • Paper details
  • Exam centre’s address
  • Instructions for the exam day.

Candidates should bring 3 passport size photographs for affixing it in the Commission’s copy of SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Admit Card 2017 in the presence of Invigilator, if required. Candidates not carrying photographs will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

Candidates are also advised to keep 10 copies of the same photograph, which was uploaded/affixed in the application form, with them till the completion of entire examination process to facilitate easy identification.
