SSC JE Result 2026: Paper-I Next; JE 2025 Final Result Recap

The latest SSC JE result is the JE 2025 final result of 3 August 2026, which provisionally recommended 1731 candidates against 1731 final vacancies. For JE 2026, Paper-I is scheduled for 2 to 6 November 2026 (JE (Telecom) 30 November - 1 December 2026), so the next result due is the 2026 Paper-I result. That result shortlists candidates for Paper-II.

How the SSC JE result works, stage by stage

1. Paper-I result: qualifying only. Candidates are shortlisted category-wise on normalised Paper-I marks, with separate merit lists for JE (Civil), JE (Electrical & Mechanical), Scientific Assistant in IMD and JE (Telecom). The JE 2025 Paper-I result of 6 March 2026 was published with separate shortlists for Civil and for Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
2. Option-cum-preference: candidates who appeared in Paper-II submit post and organisation preferences online before the final result. In 2025 this window ran from 10.06.2026 (05:00 PM) to 14.06.2026 (11:59 PM). Anyone who missed it was not considered for the final merit list.
3. First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA): posts are allocated on merit and preference under SSC's sliding mechanism, as set out in its notices of 03.03.2026 and 08.04.2026.
4. Identity Verification: FRTA candidates attend in person at a Regional Office and choose FIX or FLOAT. Anyone absent is left out of the final result.
5. Final result: the provisionally recommended list goes up as List-I.

Under the 2026 notice, final merit uses only normalised Paper-II scores. Ties are broken by marks in Part (i) of Paper-I, then Part (ii) of Paper-I, then age (older first), then alphabetical order.

How JE 2025 played out

Print your scorecard, because it is not available after the window.

After the result

Certificates for educational qualification and caste/category are checked at Document Verification by the indenting User Organization or Office, not at the exam. Before giving a preference for Border Roads Organization posts, candidates were told to confirm they meet BRO's physical and medical standards. Once a post is allotted, SSC does not change it if you fail a post-specific requirement.
