- Score it with the real marking scheme applied — Paper-I: 0.25 mark deducted per wrong answer. Paper-II: 1 mark deducted per wrong answer.

- Repeat with another paper to check whether accuracy improved.
Why shift-wise papers matter
SSC runs each examination across many shifts with different papers, which is exactly why marks are normalised. Working several shifts gives a truer sense of the difficulty band than one paper.
