The answer key for the CISF AC (Exe) LDCE 2026 objective paper is out: UPSC uploaded it on 10 September 2026, after the final result of 3 September 2026. It covers Paper I, General Ability and Intelligence and Professional Skill (GAI & PS): 150 questions, 300 maximum marks, and no question dropped. You can open it from UPSC's Answer Keys archive or directly as the CISF AC (Exe) LDCE 2026 answer key PDF.
Was there a provisional key or challenge window in 2026?
The 2026 notice gave candidates the Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep): a window of 7 days, from the next day of the examination to 6:00 p.m. of the 7th day, to make representations on the questions asked in the papers. Representations had to be made through upsconline.nic.in; nothing by email, post or hand was accepted, and nothing was taken after the window closed. The 2026 notice did not mention provisional answer keys or a fee.
The rules for the 2027 paper will be in the 2027 notice, due on 25 November 2026 according to UPSC's calendar. For comparison, UPSC's Section Officers' LDCE 2026 notice of 16 September 2026 allows representations on questions and on provisional answer keys for five days, from the 3rd day of the examination to 6:00 p.m. of the 7th day.
How to check your Paper I score against the key
- Paper I has two parts: Part A, General Ability and Intelligence (75 questions, 150 marks), and Part B, Professional Skill (75 questions, 150 marks).
- The 2026 booklet says all items carry equal marks, so each of the 150 questions is worth 2 marks.
- The 2026 booklet also says there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
- Use the key for your own Test Booklet Series (A, B, C or D), the one you encoded on the OMR sheet. The key PDF is laid out by series, starting with Series A.
Paper II (Essay, Precis Writing and Comprehension, 100 marks) is a written paper, and the key does not cover it. The Rules allow UPSC to fix minimum qualifying marks in each paper and to evaluate the conventional paper only for candidates who reach the minimum in the objective paper. In 2026 the minimums for a General candidate were 156.00 out of 300 in Paper I and 226.00 out of 400 across both papers.
What came after the 2026 key
On 10 September 2026 UPSC also posted the marks of the 20 recommended candidates. The list shows the written total out of 400, the Personality Test marks out of 200 and the final total out of 600. Among the recommended candidates, the highest written total was 276.00 and the highest final total 416.00. Marks are rounded to two decimal places at every stage of the examination.
