The CISF AC (Exe) LDCE 2026 final result was declared on 3 September 2026, recommending 20 departmental candidates (16 General, 3 SC and 1 ST) for appointment as Assistant Commandant (Executive) in the CISF. The next cycle starts with the 2027 notice, which UPSC's calendar lists for 25 November 2026, with the written examination on 14 March 2027.

How is the CISF AC LDCE result declared, stage by stage?

1. Written result

The 2026 written result, a press note dated 13 April 2026, listed by roll number the candidates who qualified provisionally for the Physical Standards Tests, Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. The 2026 Rules provide for minimum qualifying marks in each written paper, fixed by UPSC. The written stage is Paper I (300 marks, objective) plus Paper II (100 marks, essay, precis and comprehension).

2. Physical and medical tests (CISF)

Under the 2026 Rules these tests are run under CISF supervision at centres notified after the written result. The PET is qualifying only and carries no marks. The medical test is held only for those who pass the PET, and each candidate is declared "FIT" or "UNFIT". A candidate found unfit in the Detailed Medical Examination can ask for a Review Medical Examination. Candidates who fail the physical or medical standards are liable to have their candidature cancelled.

3. Interview and final merit list (UPSC)

Medically fit candidates face a 200-mark Interview/Personality Test conducted by UPSC; in 2026 the interviews ran from 17 to 19 August 2026. The final result press note lists the recommended candidates in order of merit on the aggregate of written and interview marks, out of 600. Ties are broken first by the written total, then by Paper I marks, then by age (the older candidate ranks higher), with any remaining tie decided by the Commission. Marks are rounded to two decimal places before ties are compared.

SC and ST candidates may be recommended by a relaxed standard up to the number of reserved vacancies. A candidate whose medical result is still pending can be recommended provisionally. Final selection remains subject to the outcome of Writ Petition (Civil) No. 5877/2022 in the Delhi High Court.

When are marks published?

The 2026 final result press note said marks were likely to be on the website within 15 days of the result. UPSC uploaded the marks of recommended candidates on 10 September 2026. The written result press note added that marks would remain on UPSC's website for 30 days. For help, the 2026 press note gives the Commission's call centre, 011-40303444/24041001, open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

What happens after the final result?

UPSC forwards the list of finally selected candidates to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Directorate General, CISF. They issue offers of appointment as Assistant Commandant (Executive), followed by training and medical examination. Selected candidates train at the Force's training centre and stay on probation for two years. No TA/DA is paid for attending any stage.
