Candidates taking the CSIR NET 2020 examination can check the results from the website of the NTA. Results are available in the form of merit list of qualifying candidates. CSIR NET 2020 Selection Process
CSIR NET 2020 examination is for the purpose of qualifying candidates as eligible for appointment into Assistant Professorship roles. The examination is also awarding Junior Research Fellowships for aspiring candidates who qualify in the examination. The results are thus published in the form of two separate merit lists for JRF and Assistant Professorship.
The selection process is based on the performance of the candidates in the online computer-based test. The NTA has included the provisions for marks normalisation in the CSIR NET 2020 exam. Note: Candidates who qualify for Junior Research Fellowship are automatically awarded eligibility for Assistant Professorship. Candidates who qualify for Assistant Professorship only are also eligible for JRF in a Scheme/Project but not for regular Junior Research Fellowship.

Significance of CSIR NET 2020
CSIR NET 2020 examination determines the eligibility of candidates to be appointed in the role of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Assistant Professorship/Lectureship.
Junior Research Fellows are eligible for the grant of monthly stipend of Rs 31000 during the first two years of their fellowship. Upon the completion of the first two years, JRFs can be promoted to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) with an increased stipend of Rs 35000.
Junior Research Fellows are also entitled to an annual contingency grant of Rs 20000 and a lump sum amount of Rs 3000 upon the submission of the Ph. D. thesis.
About CSIR NET 2020
The CSIR NET examination determines the eligibility of Indian candidates for appointment into the roles of Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship.
