Meghalaya Police Syllabus 2019: Meghalaya Police has released the notification for the recruitment of various posts. For each post, a written examination is conducted. Meghalaya Police Syllabus 2019

Meghalaya Police is conducting the examination for the posts of Unarmed branch, armed branch, follower, commando. The questions asked in the examination are of matriculation level (10th standard). Syllabus for Reasoning

  • Analogies
  • Verbal reasoning

Syllabus for Basic General Awareness and Science

  • Political science – Indian constitution, Fundamental rights, fundamental duties, schemes of Meghalaya and central government.
  • History – Indian history – ancient, medieval and modern.
  • Geography – India and its neighboring countries, solar system, soil, weather, and climate, mountains and ranges, revolution and rotation, etc.
  • Science – Minerals and vitamins, electricity, elements and compounds, Newton’s law, human body and the functions of organs, etc.
  • Current affairs – Important events happening in Meghalaya, sports and games, some important news related to polity (CM, PM), environment-related news.

Meghalaya Police 2019 Examination Pattern

UB and AB group

For UBSI posts

  • Written examination is conducted for UBSI posts.
  • Sections in the question paper: There will be 3 sections in the UBSI examination.
  • Maximum Marks: UBSI examination are for 300 marks.
  • Duration of the examination: Candidates have to complete examination in 60 minutes.
  • Distribution of question:

  • The written examination is conducted for UB constable and other UB post.
  • Sections of the paper: There are 3 sections in UB constable exam. 
  • Maximum Marks: UB constable and other UB post are for 300 marks.

For AB constable post and other AB post

  • Section of the paper: Question paper for AB constable and other AB post have only one section.
  • Maximum Marks: Question paper for AB constable and other AB post is of 150 marks 
  • Type of questions: Multiple choices or OMR based examination. 

SF 10 group

SF 10 ABSI posts

  • A written examination is condcted for SF 10 ABSI post.
  • Section of the paper: SF 10 ABSI posts will have 3 sections.
  • Total marks: 200 marks
  • Duration of examination: 120 minutes + 75 minutes + 75 minutes 
  • Distribution of question:

SF 10 Commando and other SF 10 posts

  • A written examination (multiple choice/OMR based) is conducted for SF 10 commando and other SF 10 posts.
  • Sections of the paper: Shall have only 1 paper.
  • Duration of examination: 60 minutes.
  • Maximum marks: A total of 200 marks.

For Follower group

No written examination is conducted for the post of the Follower. However, a trade test is conducted for 150 marks on 3 categories which are

  • Cook 
  • Barber
  • Sweeper

About Meghalaya Police

Meghalaya Police is conducting the examination for unarmed branch and armed branch group, SF 10 group and follower group. To apply for these posts, candidates must read, speak and write one of the regional language of the state. The required educational qualification is to have a graduate degree. The selection for Meghalaya Police is done in three stages – Physical examination, written examination, and interview round. Candidates have to fulfil the physical and medical standards prescribed by Meghalaya Police.
