OTET 2018 – Board of Secondary Education Odisha has released the notification of OTET 2018 at www.bseodisha.ac.in. The notification released on November 10, 2018. The application process for OTET 2018 has been started from November 12, 2018. The last date to submit online application is November 28, 2018. But the candidates have to submit the application fee on November 27, 2018. As of now the examination dates has not been announced. The dates will be notified soon. The candidates have to fill the application form for Paper I (Primary Level) and Paper II (Upper Primary Level) separately. The examination pattern for both papers is different. OTET 2018

Application form for OTET 2018 is available in online mode only. Eligible teaching aspirants could apply online at www.bseodisha.ac.in and pay application fee through SBI Collect. Step by step instructions to apply is given below. OTET admit card 2018 will be issued online only to those candidates who will fill the application form on time.

OTET 2018 Application Form

The application for of the OTET 2018 is available. The interested and eligible candidates can complete the process before the deadline. The candidates should note that the Board will not extend the application period in any circumstances. So the application form should be submitted before the deadline.

Application Fee

In order to complete the application form, the candidates have to submit the application fee as per their category. The below-provided application fee will be applicable to the candidates.

  • For SC & ST Category of candidates:- Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) Only.
  • For Other Category of candidates:- Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) Only.

OTET Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who possess the below qualification and fulfills other aspects of eligibility can fill the application form of OTET 2018.

Nationality: Indian

Nativity: The candidates should have the domicile of Odisha

Age Limit: No upper age limit there.

Persons having the following minimum qualifications shall be eligible for appearing in OTET.

Category-A ( Paper- I )

  • Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education(CT). OR
  • Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
  • Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 2-year Diploma in Special Education.

Category-B ( Paper- II )

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
  • Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed.(Special Education). OR
  • Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.

Provided that relaxation of 5% minimum qualifying marks in +2 or graduation level, as the case may be, shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/ SEBC category.

OTET 2018 Admit Card

The candidates who will fill the application form in time will be able to download the admit card from www.bseodisha.ac.in. In order to download the admit card, the candidates have to mention the registration number and email ID on the website. The mode of fetching the hall ticket for the OTET is only online apart from that, The Board will not initiate any other mode.

As the candidates have chosen examination center, so the change of examination center is not permissible. The hard copy of the admit cards shall not be issued by the B.S.E., Odisha.

OTET 2018 Exam Pattern

As there are two papers in the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test. The paper I is for primary level for the candidates who want to take eligibility certificate of teacher for Class I to V can attempt Paper I. And those who want to take the eligibility certificate in Upper Primary Level (Class VI to VIII) can opt for Paper II.

The scheme of Paper I and II are given here. The candidates should note that There is no provision for negative marking in the exam.

All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions, each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Questions will be set to assess the candidate’s ability to analyze, interpret and apply the subject matter. There will be no negative marking.

OTET 2018 Answer Key

The Board of Secondary Education will release the answer key once the exam will over. The candidates who will appear in the examination will then able to check the answer key. The candidates will able to cross-check the answer key. Along with releasing the answer key, The Board will provide the chance to object the answer if not satisfied with answer key. To do so the candidates have to pay the amount of Rs 500/- as the challenge fee.

Then, the Board will consider the objection raised by the candidates, release the final answer key.

OTET 2018 Result

After the exam and releasing of final answer key, BSEO will declare the result. The result will purely depend on the final answer key. The candidates will able to chcek there result from the official website, bseodisha.ac.in. The candidates will need the roll number for checking their result. In order to crack the exam, it is necessary to score minimum qualifying marks.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in OTET 2018

  • A candidate who will score 60% or more in the TET Examination will be considered as TET pass.
  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC/ OBC, Physically Handicapped securing scores 50% may be considered as TET Pass.
  • The TET score will be given weight in the recruitment process.
