RPSC RAS Exam Pattern & Syllabus
RPSC RAS is a three-stage examination — Preliminary, Main and Interview.
Preliminary examination (objective)

The Prelims is a single objective (MCQ) paper with negative marking (one-third of a mark for a wrong answer). It is qualifying — used only to shortlist candidates for the Mains; its marks do not count towards the final merit.
Main examination (descriptive)

All four Mains papers are descriptive and count towards the merit.
Interview
The Interview (personality test) carries 100 marks. The final merit is prepared from the Mains (800) and the Interview (100).
