RPSC publishes a model answer key for each objective paper on rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and opens a paid online objection window; the most recent window was for the Inspector of Factories and Boilers and Inspector of Factories (Chemical) Exams 2025 (held 19 September 2026), from 14 to 16 October 2026. The flagship RAS 2026 key will follow the Prelims on 6 December 2026.
How RPSC handles answer keys
Each key is announced in a press note listed on the RPSC home page as "Press Note regarding Online Objection on Model Answer Key" for that exam. The press note of 7 September 2026, for example, released two model keys at once (Statistical Officer exam of 30 August 2026 and APO Pre of 2 September 2026). The objection rules in these notes are the same across exams:
- Log in to the SSO portal, select the Recruitment Portal and use the Question Objection link for that exam.
- Fee ₹100 per question, plus service charge, through e-Mitra or the portal's payment gateway; it is not refunded.
- Attach proof from standard, authentic books and follow the question order of the model question paper on the website.
- Objections are taken online only and only once; those from non-candidates are ignored.
The fifth-option rule on RPSC OMR sheets
By a press note of 11 September 2023, RPSC added a fifth option to OMR sheets in all future written objective exams, starting with advertisements 01/2023-24 to 05/2023-24, which included RAS. As set out in the RAS 2026 advertisement, you darken option 5 if you skip a question; if you leave all five blank, one-third of that question's marks is deducted, and blanks in more than 10% of questions mean disqualification. RPSC publishes lists of such candidates with results; the APO 2026 list came on 1 October 2026, and the RAS 2024 Prelims result disqualified 1680 candidates.
Final answer key and marks
RPSC's final key is not always out before the result. APO (Pre) 2026 was declared on 1 October 2026 and its final key was published on 5 October 2026, the day its marks were posted; RAS 2024 Prelims was declared on 20 February 2025 and its final key followed on 24 February 2025. The RAS 2026 advertisement states that the result based on the final key of the Commission's expert panel is binding.
Worked example: RAS Prelims
RAS Prelims has 150 questions of equal marks for 200 marks, with one-third of a mark deducted for each wrong answer. For RAS 2024 the key appeared on the exam day, 2 February 2025, and objections ran from 3 to 5 February 2025.
