The latest TN TRB BEO result is that of the 2023 cycle, released on 9 November 2023 for the examination of 10 September 2023, as two roll-number-wise mark lists: Part A marks (out of 50) and Part B marks (out of 150). No BEO recruitment has been notified since Notification No. 01/2023, so there is no newer result.
BEO 2023 result: what the lists show
The Part A list gives the marks scored in the Tamil Language Eligibility Test against each roll number, with some candidates shown as "Exempted"; it runs to serial number 35393. The Part B list was published only for candidates who qualified in Part A and for PWD candidates, and it runs to serial number 29139 across 711 pages. Both lists are headed for the Directorate of Elementary Education and are linked from TRB's results page.
Only Part B marks count for ranking. A candidate needed at least 40% (20 marks) in Part A for the main answer sheet to be evaluated, and the minimum qualifying marks for selection in Part B were 75 for other categories, 67.5 for SC (SC / SCA on TRB's qualifying marks page) and 60 for ST.
After the marks: certificate verification and selection
- TRB prepares the certificate verification (CV) list in the ratio 1:1.25 on OMR examination marks, following communal rotation.
- If more than one candidate has the same cut-off mark for a communal turn, all of them are called for CV.
- The CV list and call letters are published only on the TRB website, and a candidate absent on the prescribed date is not considered further.
- The provisional selection is made from a fresh merit list by merit-cum-communal rotation, using examination marks only.
- Appointment orders are issued by the Director of Elementary Education after verifying all certificates.
2018–19 cycle (Notification 13/2019)
The previous BEO recruitment was held as a computer-based examination. Its revised mark list, dated 21 December 2021, gives a "New Normalized Score" for each roll number, with the top score at 110.65670. The provisional selection list dated 4 February 2022 shows each selected candidate's roll number, name, date of birth, gender, community, PSTM and PWD status, written marks and the communal turn filled; turn 97 (BC Autism) is shown as "NOT AVAILABLE". A not-selected list of the same date covers candidates whose written marks did not reach the minimum selection cut-off for their turns.
