SSC Stenographer 2018 Eligibility Criteria- Candidates going to appear for the stenographer exam this year need to apply for the same. Candidates having skills in Stenography and wants to appear for the government recruitments for the same can apply for this exam. SSC Stenographer 2018 Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible to appear in SSC Stenographer test 2018 only if you fulfill SSC Stenographer 2018 eligibility criteria. Although Eligibility criteria for the examination 2018 has not been released yet but here you can find the expected eligibility criteria given below which is according to Previous year’s eligibility criteria.

Candidates need to clearify these three standards inorder to be eligible:

  • Nationality Basis
  • Age Basis
  • Educational Qualification Basis

Nationality

The candidate applying must be

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who settled in india permanently before Ist January, 1962
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates from (b), (c), (d) and (e) category shall be able to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Relaxation

  • Candidates who wants to apply must ensure that they are in between 18 – 27 years as on Aug 01 2018.
  • Upper age limit for the post of Stenographer Grade C&D is relaxable for Central Government Civilian Employees as per extant Government order.

19 Candidates from SC/ST category who are Central Govt. Civilian Employees and have served for more than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on 16 June 2018 Upto 45 years of age
21 General and Unreserved category candidates who resided in Jammu and Kashmir from 1sty January 1980 to 31st December 1989 5 years
22 OBC category candidates who resided in Jammu and Kashmir from 1sty January 1980 to 31st December 1989 8 years
23 SC/ST category candidates who resided in Jammu and Kashmir from 1sty January 1980 to 31st December 1989 10 years
24 For Group “C” postsUnreserved/General category women candidates who are Widows/Divorced/ judicially separated and who are not remarried Upto 35 years of age

36 For Group „C‟ posts Retrenched census employees of Office of Registrar General of India (Unreserved/ General ) ( They will be considered only for offices under RGI in their order of merit and subject to availability of vacancies ) 3 years plus length of service rendered by them in connection with census, before retrenchment and weightage of past service.
37 Retrenched census employees of Office of Registrar General of India ( OBC ) (They will be considered only for offices under RGI in their order of merit and subject to availability of vacancies ) 3 years plus length of service rendered by them in connection with census, before retrenchment and weight age of past service + 3 years
38 Retrenched census employees of Office of Registrar General of India ( SC/ST ) ( They will be considered only for offices under RGI in their order of merit and subject to availability of vacancies ) 3 years plus length of service rendered by them in connection with census, before retrenchment and weight age of past service + 5 years

Educational Qualification
Class 12 or equivalent passed from recognized board/university, as on 01 Aug 2018.
