SSC Stenographer 2018 Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible to appear in SSC Stenographer test 2018 only if you fulfill SSC Stenographer 2018 eligibility criteria. Although Eligibility criteria for the examination 2018 have been released, here you can find the full details regarding stenographer eligibility criteria.
Candidates need to clarify these three standards in order to be eligible:
- Nationality Basis
- Age Basis
- Educational Qualification Basis
Nationality
The candidate applying must be
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who settled in india permanently before Ist January, 1962
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates from (b), (c), (d) and (e) category shall be able to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit
The candidates must be 18 – 30 years and 18 – 27 years as on January 01, 2019 for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ respectively.
Age Relaxation
- Upper age limit for the post of Stenographer Grade C&D is relaxable for Central Government Civilian Employees as per extant Government order.
