SSC JE Admit Card 2026: Paper-I City Slip Out, Exam 2-6 Nov

The JE 2026 Paper-I exam city is live (since 23 October 2026), but the admission certificate is not out yet: SSC says it will be available 2-3 days before each candidate's exam date. Paper-I runs from 2 to 6 November 2026 for six papers. JE (Telecom) is scheduled separately on 30 November - 1 December 2026, and its exam city goes live 8-10 days in advance. SSC's 26 October 2026 corrigendum confirmed both windows.

How to get the SSC JE 2026 admit card

• Exam city: log in through the designated login module on ssc.gov.in, as the city-intimation notice of 23 October 2026 says.
• Admission Certificate: tentatively available 2-3 days before your exam date through the same login. The city notice repeats that all JE admission certificates are issued 2/3 days in advance. The Notice of Examination (para 15.6) mentions 3-4 days and asks candidates to keep an additional copy.
• Not by post: admission certificates are not sent by post or email for any stage.
• Details missing: if your details are not on the website one week before your exam date, contact the SSC Regional Office concerned at once with proof that you applied.

Which paper you will sit, and the last changes allowed

The 2-6 November batch covers six papers: General Engineering (Civil & Structural), Electrical and Mechanical, and, for Scientific Assistant in IMD, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Physics. Some JE (Telecom) applicants were also eligible for JE (Electrical) and Scientific Assistant. SSC has made EC/TC their default SA subject; a switch to CS/IT or Physics was allowed at City Live only till 27.10.2026 (11:00 PM), and that window has closed. After that, you must take the subject printed on your admission certificate. Own-scribe candidates had until 27.10.2026 (11:00 PM) to map their scribe's OTR; the Scribe Entry Pass is generated only for those who did. Scribe registrations made before 05.11.2025 were disposed of, so scribes must register afresh with Aadhaar authentication.

SSC JE exam-day rules

• Candidates without Aadhaar-Based Authentication report two (02) hours before the exam starts. They carry the admission certificate, two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID showing the same date of birth.
• Accepted IDs include the Voter's ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, School/College ID Card, an employer ID card (Govt./PSU/Private) and the Ex-serviceman Discharge Book.
• If the date of birth on the ID does not match the admission certificate, you will not be allowed to appear. This check does not apply to Aadhaar-authenticated candidates.
• Paper-I lasts 2 Hours, or 2 hours and 40 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates.
• The IS 456:2000 table, the Steam Table and a scientific calculator are provided on screen. No physical table or calculator is allowed in the exam lab.
• A mobile phone, Bluetooth or wireless device, spy camera or other electronic gadget in the hall carries debarment of 03 - 05 Years.

Paper-II admit card

Only candidates shortlisted in Paper-I get a Paper-II admission certificate. Paper-II is tentatively scheduled for December 2026. In the 2025 cycle, Paper-II city details went live from 27.03.2026, with admission certificates 02/03 days before the exam held on 07.04.2026. In 2024, the Paper-II city notice of 29 October 2024 made admission certificates available on 30.10.2024, for an exam on 06.11.2024.
