KARTET 2025 key answers were published on the evening of 7 December 2025, the day of the exam, and objections were taken online from 9 December 2025 to 5.30 p.m. on 12 December 2025. There is no live KARTET key now: the 2025 result and certificates are out, and no KARTET 2026 exam has been notified.
Where the KARTET keys are published
The department posts the keys on schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in. The KARTET-2025 key answers PDF opens with the objection instructions dated 7 December 2025 and then gives the Paper 1 and Paper 2 keys part by part. Answers are printed as option numbers 1 to 4, and the Paper 2 Mathematics & Science key covers the Kannada, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Hindi medium papers.
How KARTET objections work
- Objections are accepted only online. Objections sent any other way are not considered.
- Use the link on schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in, enter your application or registration number and date of birth, then the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to open the objection page.
- Attaching authoritative proof or documents is compulsory; an objection without proper proof is not considered.
- Each proof file must not exceed 500KB. Uploading irrelevant documents or images can lead to legal action against the candidate.
- Journals, magazines, books of independent publishers, guides, internet sources such as Wikipedia or Google, videos and newspaper articles are not accepted as proof.
- A subject expert committee examines the objections, and the answer it gives is final.
The KARTET 2025 notification set the rule: four days to object after the key is posted, and once the experts' answers are published they are final, with no further change.
How to work out your KARTET score
Each paper has 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes, and there is no negative evaluation, so your score is the number of answers matching the final key. Paper 1 has Language-1, Language-2, Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics and Environmental Studies, 30 questions each; visually impaired candidates answer 60 Social Studies questions instead of Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 has the two languages and Child Development and Pedagogy, 30 each, plus 60 questions in either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. Two rules can change the count:
- If a printed question or its options are found wrong, the question is deleted from evaluation and no grace mark is given; the percentage is then calculated on the remaining questions.
- A circle shaded less than 30% is not read by the computer.
To qualify you need at least 60% if you are General, 2A, 2B, 3A or 3B, and 55% if you are SC, ST, Category-1 or differently-abled. Because the OMR sheets are machine-evaluated, there is no photocopy, re-evaluation or recount. The OMR answer sheets are kept for six months from the result.
What came after the key in 2024
The KARTET-2024 notice of 8 August 2024 shows the full sequence: the key on 8 July 2024, objections from 8 to 13 July 2024, 124 objections received and examined by subject experts, the final key on 31 July 2024, and OMR sheets then evaluated on the final key to produce the result.
