Mizoram TET — the Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) — is conducted by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE), Aizawl, on behalf of the Government of Mizoram. It is a qualifying test that a person must pass to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII in the Government, Deficit and Government-aided schools of Mizoram, under the Right to Education Act and NCTE guidelines. It is held in two papers:

  • Paper I — for those who intend to teach classes I to V (Primary stage).
  • Paper II — for those who intend to teach classes VI to VIII (Middle stage).

A candidate who intends to teach at both levels sits both papers.
